I'm in Berks and so uncomfortable. Feel like I'm in a lukewarm sauna. Bleurgh!

You win, Hulk

It’s much cooler today, it hasn’t stopped raining since I got up at 7 (9:30 now).

Dowser · 25/06/2019 09:50

Well I’m sat in me cossy , slathered in sun cream..staring at the rain from the caravan window in N Yorks.
So where’s this heatwave then?
I want last years summer back😭 sobs bitterly
My daughters in the next valley , camping with kids in a field near Ripon
Last year was so hot for them and they had an amazing time

trackingmedown · 25/06/2019 11:04

South London here. Last night was awful. Too muggy to sleep well but too cold for a fan. What a horrible combination.

Pinkmouse6 · 25/06/2019 11:13

It’s pissing it down here in Yorkshire, absolutely awful.

LittleMissCwtch · 25/06/2019 11:20

In South Wales and it's horribly muggy here, and it was raining on the school run too, so I had to wear a coat and had to change my top when I got home as I was so sticky.

I have a steep hill to walk up home twice a day from school, really struggle in this weather. We did have a weather warning for thunder today but it has been cancelled which is a shame as I love it and it might clear the air. It's only set to get warmer this week too 😬

Dowser · 25/06/2019 13:22

Had heating on this morning.

formerbabe · 25/06/2019 13:52

Horrible here in London...it poured with rain in the early hours but it didnt seem to freshen up much

Sarcelle · 25/06/2019 14:01

Yes, and I am a sweaty and bloated mess. I always swell up in humid weather.

SlowLiving · 25/06/2019 14:11

I bloody hate hot, humid weather.....gross

anitagreen · 25/06/2019 14:14

I'm sticky and damp it's disgusting no sign of a storm being predicted again either that was all bollocks I just want to be able to breathe again

NannyRed · 25/06/2019 14:17

West Midlands, was muggy last night.
I find a shower before bed helpful, cool shower obviously.
Open windows front and back to get some blow through.
When it’s proper hot, I replace my duvet with just a top sheet (100% cotton if you can)
Last night, I washed my hair in the showe, 80% dried it and put it up in a MN Knicker bun for mermaid curls this morning, hair still hadn’t fully dried though so I just look unkempt.

SalemSpellman · 25/06/2019 17:28

What is MN knicker bun?

wheresmymojo · 25/06/2019 17:34

@Nesssie What is a thunderbug?

wheresmymojo · 25/06/2019 17:37

Hampshire....

80% humidity, hair like Monica, it's like trying to breathe swimming in lukewarm soup.

No sunshine, just grey and oppressive.

wheresmymojo · 25/06/2019 17:39

@SalemSpellman

The key to lovely ruffled, relaxed waves with zero effort is to rough dry your hair about 90% and then tie back with a pair of cotton knickers (using them like a scrunchie) and sleep in them.

TheCrowFromBelow · 25/06/2019 18:12

LoafofSellotape · 25/06/2019 18:40

It was yesterday and this morning but we've had lots of rain and there's a glorious chill in the air now. Hardly slept last night I was so hot!

ExtraFox19 · 25/06/2019 18:42

Global warming. Everyone needs to take heed.

LoafofSellotape · 25/06/2019 18:46

Righto.

SalemSpellman · 25/06/2019 18:59

@wheresmymojo thank you! Think I'll give it a try!

Greenteandchives · 25/06/2019 19:03

I know it’s humid because my hair is a hot mess that is refusing to lie down. I have straightened my fringe three times today and it’s still curling up, even with that Dreamcoat stuff on it.

Isthebigwomanhere · 25/06/2019 19:03

I was in London yesterday and the humidity was just awful.
By 4pm I was a swollen, bad haired, middle aged mess!

Bluerussian · 25/06/2019 20:39

Has been humid today, not overly so; cooled down now.

origamiunicorn · 25/06/2019 20:43

When people from countries such as Australia etc laugh at us when we moan the heat it's because they have dry heat. We have that swampy humid heat where you can't sweat properly to cool off because the air has too much moisture in it for your sweat to evaporate. So 30 in the UK is much more unbearable than 30 degrees in a dry heat.
