I don't know if anyone else has posted who was a "deviant" like me - I couldn't stand popular music as a teen. But my favourite get-it-all-out-and-deal-with-it piece was Beethoven's Pathetique sonata on the piano. Eventually I could sort of play it to my own satisfaction (as long as I thought no one else could hear me!); the first movement allowed you to work out all your anger / frustration / upset, the second movement calmed you down then the last movement cheered you up!
