Mine was Creep by Radiohead. I thought I was so angsty and tortured

My niece is currently heartbroken and playing Lewis Capaldi on a loop.

RoRosmama · 24/09/2019 20:54

@BallacheForLife
Radiohead talk show host was in the film Romeo and Juliet and has been mentioned. Amazing song 😊

Early noughties was peak angst for me! Deftones - Pink Maggit and Staind - It's Been a While were two that I distinctly remember making me hole up in my room and write loads of faux tortured-soul introspective stuff in my diary. Also big fan of anything by Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.

I actually still love many of the bands and their songs mentioned today but I was just so affected when I was 14...

Going back to OP's point about their niece, was there any Lewis Capaldi equivalent for the less pretentious angsty youth of the 00s?

OneStepOneStumble · 25/09/2019 00:10

If I had to pick one? Numb - linkin Park

But basically anything early Avril Lavigne (first and second albums), evanescence's fallen, bit of mcr thrown in for good measure.

I thought I was so emo as a teen!

Kalim8 · 25/09/2019 07:33

No doubt - don't speak

Vinosaurus · 25/09/2019 07:34
