We must all have one thing that we secretly treat ourselves too... or waste money on.... for many women it seems to be shoes or a nice handbag etc.
Me? I waste my money on flight upgrades

What about you?

Books for the kids. I actually get embarrassed handing over £40 at the till at Waterstones as it feels outrageous.

For me - nothing. I am very low maintenance!!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 12/06/2019 19:31

I get that it's lighthearted and all, but am slightly irked by for many women it's nice shoes or a handbag. Haven't we grown out of that kind of stereotyping?

Anyway, for me, takeaways. Except it's not a waste because I enjoy them. Couldn't give a toss about handbags.

Stardustmoon · 12/06/2019 19:32

Coffee shop coffees, mugs, craft stuff for our overfull art cupboard (glitter, pipe cleaners, stickers, stamps)

MiniCooperLover · 12/06/2019 19:40

JesusintheCabbageVan, you don't give a toss about handbags and that's ok. Just as it's ok that some people do like them. Why does that have to be stereotyping?! 😳

Oflawrence · 12/06/2019 19:41

Crisps/ sweets

stayathomer · 12/06/2019 19:44

Jesusinacabbagevan Surely its not stereotyping if they're actually buying it for themselves?

Tana433 · 12/06/2019 19:46

Beautiful white towels from The White Company and more money than I will ever admit to anyone on family sized bags of kettle chips!

supersop60 · 12/06/2019 19:47

Coffee shop coffee and cake. It's more about taking a break, really.

BasinHaircut · 12/06/2019 19:49

I could join a gym for about £40 a month but instead I take semi-personal training sessions and belong to a boutique yoga studio at a total cost of around £200 a month.

My DH knows what I spend but I would never tell anyone else as it seems a bit obscene.

I also have no interest in makeup and handbags and what have you, but I love ‘keeping fit’ and justify it (to myself) as an investment in my health and future.
