What is your secret that you waste money on?

We must all have one thing that we secretly treat ourselves too... or waste money on.... for many women it seems to be shoes or a nice handbag etc.
Me? I waste my money on flight upgrades

What about you?

Lovely notebooks. I can't resist them...

SupermassiveBlackHo · 12/06/2019 18:32

Books, yarn and pens. I can't imagine spending valuable book money on things like bags, shoes and beauty stuff.

smokyburgandy · 12/06/2019 18:38

Big Macs

MyGastIsFlabbered · 12/06/2019 18:39

@Earthboundmisfit79 forgive my ignorance but how can your horse wear 6 boots at a time?

GlossyTaco · 12/06/2019 18:40

Nail polish , gel polish , false nails , nail art brushes , nail wraps. Sitting with the eBay app open shopping for the above products makes me feel happy and excited.

I am clearly very dullSmile

Uber’s

I get a fucking ridiculous amount of Uber’s, every month I promise myself I’m going to stop and I never do! I just hate the journey home...and to work...

Am currently in an Uber writing this so this months ban is going great!

Nyctophilia · 12/06/2019 18:50

Mugs, 4 of us in the house and and about 40 mugs

shitpark · 12/06/2019 18:51

Make up, higher end. At the moment I keep buying lip gloss

BethanyGilbert · 12/06/2019 18:53

Eating out. I do it soo often but I love it!

Wine, wine and wine! Uber’s and eating out 🤣

BelulahBlanca · 12/06/2019 19:00

@Youmadorwhat That looks heavenly!

EskewedBeef · 12/06/2019 19:01

Tiny perfume oils from Perfume Parlour. They seem so cheap, so I take punts on fragrances I might like. Inevitably I don't like any of them.

Takeaways, I despise cooking but love eating!

ChocolateHouse · 12/06/2019 19:03

Acrylic nails and diet Coke. Neither are a secret but I definitely spend way too much on both these. Also filter coffee, I don't like running out of coffee so even if I just nip in a shop for some bread I will leave with another packet of filter (and a bottle of diet Coke - don't like running out of that either).

MotherOfDragonite · 12/06/2019 19:04

Perfume, mugs, oat milk lattes.

The perfume is a nice interest and helps to balance out the extremely minimal amount I spend on clothing. The oat milk lattes help to wake me up. The mugs... I really have no excuse Blush and I have around 40 and I am the only person in the household who uses them.

Thought of another. The video game the Sims. I’ve had every base game (4) and every expansion pack since it started. I rarely play it now. What with being an adult and all but I still can’t have one of the games be released and not own it 😱

mabelisable · 12/06/2019 19:05

Lego.

For me, not DS.

Earthboundmisfit79 · 12/06/2019 19:05

@MyGastIsFlabbered

He wears ones on each leg to protect his lower legs from knocks and add support and then one over each front hoof to protect the back of his front feet from his back hooves and the shoes if he 'overeaches' with a back leg and clips his front ones. So 6 in total. Actually he could technically wear 8 if I added knee boots to protect his knees in case he slips on the road and comes down on them - but they can restrict movement and he has studs in his shoes to help him not slip on tarmac, so I don't put them on but have 2 sets somewhere anyway
😄

Youmadorwhat, I've never given much thought to how plain my bathroom even though a bath is my happy place but having seen yours I now have immense bathroom envy. More pictures please!

And my wastage is £5 instant scratch cards. Luckily I usually break even and often above but I really should stop !!

sergeilavrov · 12/06/2019 19:09

Crème de la Mer, La Clé sheet masks and egregious amounts of books I couldn’t afford but coveted during my time as an impoverished postdoc. I’m certainly making up for lost time, if my bank statements are anything to go by Blush
