By "horrifying" do you mean the police being corrupt? Cause that's still happening now!
It's coincidental timing for the release of this show though. Trump waded in on this case and I find it a bit of a "smear campaign".
Also, I read about it online and there was a report commissioned recently which stated it was unlikely the 5 guys had nothing to do with this case and even though their stories of who did it didnt match up (pointing to the liklihood the police did make them confess) they all seemed to state how it had happened with matching stories.
Plus they weren't exactly citizens of the year.
I take these programs with a pinch of salt.

Another vote for The Way they See Us

Netflix was really shit some months ago now it is AMAZING!. I am mother, star trek, designated survivor, kin, chambers., there us always something to watch now.

Avoiding watching when they see us right now!. As a black woman, I know it will depress me

Oh how could I have forgot about stranger things, I thought I would hate it and absolutely loved it and binge watched it in a week!

It was quite depressing and a hard watch.

Honestly, I think "when they see us" is being vastly over exaggerated as being good on here.

Every one has different tastes though whiskey.
I thought it was brilliant but upsetting, particularly the final episode. The acting from the actor playing Korey was fantastic.

Whiskey I find your comment on the victims of police injustice as not being citizens of the year really odd. That is irrelevant if their we're forced to confess to a crime they didn't commit.

When they see us is worth seeing , but it's a hard watch. I also found the sound quality really poor, I struggled to hear a lot of the dialogue. That might have just been my tv though.

Try Money Heist - most watched foreign series on Netflix. Superb.

Crazy Ex Girlfriend - is it just me? Loved it. Funny but honest. Got totally involved with the characters and some of the musical interludes are amazing.

The Blind Side is on on movies. I cry every time. I've watched it st least 25 times.

Schitts Creek is great. Every character is brilliant. Especially the mum with her transatlantic drawl.
