Hand hold: DH missing after "accident"

Stickywhitelovepiss · 07/06/2019 19:20

I know it's not been long, but this is really out of character and not sure what to do next.

Rang my DH on his mobile to let him know what time I'd get in and he didn't answer - often happens so then call him on work line. His work said he'd called in on way back in after lunch saying he'd been in a car accident but was fine, and neither hide nor hair heard since. That's all I know - no indication of the severity of the accident or where he or my car (which he drives) have got to.

I've been trying him on his mobile countless times, called 101 to see if they've got him somewhere, also A&E - but no joy.

He's been off grid for about 5 hours now, when he'd normally have picked me up, got the Tesco and we'd be sitting starting our weekend. But not even a text to let me know he's not dead in a ditch, and I don't have that phone tracker either on this latest handset.

Starting to panic slightly - if anyone is around for a hand hold or some pointers as to how I can track him down that's would be much appreciated....

Hope you all manage to get some sleep Flowers

@Stuckywhitelovepiss depending on your police force area they should refer your husband to Project Nova. Have a look at the website for which police forces they work with. They provide a mentor and have some great workers in the area I cover.

If there are other issues Combat Stress have a 24/7 helpline and can do referral into their mental health service, but there are wait times. TiLS is supposed to be the new pathway into mental health services for ex-forces and again he can self refer.

Obviously he needs to want the help and accept what is offered. Best of luck Flowers

I’m glad things are as ok as they could be OP, that initial scenario sounded very scary.

DogHairEverywhere · 07/06/2019 22:49

Glad he's home safely, and hope you get to the bottom of it all.

Aberforthsgoat · 07/06/2019 22:50

Hope you get the truth of it OP.

Daisypie · 07/06/2019 22:50

PeoniesarePink · 07/06/2019 23:04

I would imagine you both need a good nights sleep, and to talk this through tomorrow.

At least he's safe Flowers

IDrinkAndISewThings · 07/06/2019 23:07

hopefully the stuff i posted will help and the project nova stuff im here for if you need x

GrumbleBumble · 07/06/2019 23:23

MrsMozart Why is the car parked around the corner? Presumably because that's where the accident happened? It might not have been safe/legal to leave it on a busy road so he could have pulled onto a smaller/quieter road to park up.

Starlight456 · 07/06/2019 23:26

Op .

Just a mini thought in my head. If car is parked round the corner was he actually in custody? Was it really a policeman you spoke to

Possibly way off but just a thought ?

Hope you get some sleep

Redglitter · 07/06/2019 23:31

Was it really a policeman you spoke to

Since the OP contacted a Police Office it's probably safe to say it was

MummyParanoia101 · 07/06/2019 23:45

@hellenbackagen @MrsPandigital Hope you don't mind me asking... I'm prescribed slow-release opioid Patches for arthritis and whilst the leaflet says "Don't drive until you know how this medication makes you feel (which I do - no effects besides pain relief) this thread has me worried now! Could this cause problems for me in a situation like this?

hellenbackagen · 08/06/2019 00:00

Mummy

Worry not you'll be fine .

AuntieStella · 08/06/2019 00:10

Though I suppose the RTA might just be a cover story for a completely different incident which landed him in the cells for a while. Used as an excuse for work to cover absence, then went a bit out of control when he was at the station for hours and couidn't get home at usual time.

I hope he comes clean to you OP. If not tonight (if both of you tired/stressed) then early tomorrow

RiversDisguise · 08/06/2019 01:55

Really glad this isn't a Lord Lucan type situation and he came home, OP. Flowers

managedmis · 08/06/2019 02:31

Was he with another woman?

Sounds really suspicious tbh

Divinelyuninspired · 08/06/2019 02:54

The ‘road rage’ story makes me wonder if he had a fight and was arrested because of that.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 08/06/2019 02:56

ManagedMIs RTFT, the OP has established her partner was in custody, she spoke to a police officer who confirmed that.

Autocorrection · 08/06/2019 05:06

I hope you get to the bottom of it all. It does sound very worrying and stressful for you.

Longdistance · 08/06/2019 06:13

Op, I hope you get some answers soon. There’s nothing worse than having a giant fuck off elephant in the room.
Hope you get the car back.

NameChangerAmI · 08/06/2019 06:25

Morning Stickywhitelovepiss

Was just thinking about you. Hope you're OK and that you managed to get some sleep. Flowers
