Hello everyone,

Some of you may already be signed up to our Swears By email, or may even check the recommendations on the Swears By page instead.

But, for those who don't know, Mumsnet Swears By is a handy weekly digest of products and tips from Mumsnetter to Mumsnetter - whether that's the foot cream which finally sorted their dry, cracked heels, or the best way to stock the food cupboard so you can actually reach everything (yes, even those tinned tomatoes on the top shelf).

We are continually on the lookout for new, life-changing tips, tricks and products that Mumsnetters are shouting about - and we want to hear from you.

So far, Swears By has always been pretty product-heavy, but we're really keen to hear about other types of solutions you've come across on Mumsnet which we may have missed. Whether that's a service someone recommended which you now couldn't live without, or a life hack tip-off which saves you hours every single week. We'd also love to know which of our talk boards have proved invaluable to you over the years for exactly this kind of information.

We're looking forward to reading through your pearls of wisdom - TIA Grin

Was sceptical....but it worked!

Putting all of a matching set of bedding in one of the pillowcases.

Total game changer

ImperfectTents · 06/06/2019 18:51

LoudestRoar · 06/06/2019 20:04

Pulling the baby vest down instead of up and over in the event of a poonami. Also, the word poonami!

MimsyBorogroves · 06/06/2019 20:17

Why only smarties have the answer, Carlisle isn't in Wales and that the Falkland Islands aren't in Scotland.

You wouldn't think I had 2 degrees (neither are in geography)

Finding the Fair Play for Women website which really opened my eyes!

LightOfAThousandStars · 06/06/2019 21:19

Double cleansing and Caroline Hurons in general, never heard of them before Mumsnet. More recently the thread about the Oil Cleansing Method to get rid of sebaceous filaments, it actually works and they are not blackheads as I had thought for so long!

Angie169 · 07/06/2019 08:36

Buying socks that are exactly the same ( usually black ) it makes pairing them .
Don't physically pair them just going them in the draw and take two socks out

MulticolourMophead · 07/06/2019 08:43

Mooncup, definitely. Using a sandwich toaster to make pancakes, among other things. Pillowcase idea for bedding. Probably other stuff too.

IceRebel · 07/06/2019 10:25

Plug socket covers do NOT make sockets safer.

RiversDisguise · 07/06/2019 10:27

That we don't have to mutely accept men invading women's toilets. We can fight it.

PicaK · 07/06/2019 12:10

No is a complete sentence.
Earth shattering in its impact

TheGoddessFrigg · 07/06/2019 12:50

Combing through conditioner when you apply it. My god it's made all the difference to my difficult always on the edge of frizz hair.

Kalim8 · 07/06/2019 13:20

First heard about intrusive thoughts on MN. I think I had them as a teenager, so it was great to realise "maybe that wasn't really me thinking xyz".

LemonMousse · 07/06/2019 18:15

The little fold in 'tabs' on boxes of cling film and foil that hold the roll in place!

Spinning the washing a second time makes a huge difference on drying time.

No is a complete sentence.

What healthy boundaries actually are.

Feminism.

I live by the coast and my DC are on the beach almost everyday. I learned on mumsnet that talcum powder is great for getting sand off grubby feet before putting shoes back on. This was an amazing discovery!
