I think I'd worry it was naturally v dark inside since you have all the lights on, and I'm not sure why there's a picture of a couch labelled 'dining room'?

Loopytiles · 02/06/2019 18:33

Why can’t you do a proper link?

Mum2lots · 02/06/2019 18:40

Thankyou I don't know how

Loopytiles · 02/06/2019 18:41

around the hyperlink

Loopytiles · 02/06/2019 18:54

Can’t see things you could easily/cheaply change - is the price you’re asking realistic?

The driveway out front with no greenery or wall isn’t inviting.

Good proportions and modern.

Conservatories are dated, so that may put off some people. bedroom on the ground floor.

Decor and some carpets quite loud, so people could be budgeting for redecorating and replacing.

Mum2lots · 02/06/2019 19:04

Thankyou @SilentBob a the downstairs bedroom has en-suite and living room it's described as dining room ? It's actually a separate living area ideal granny flat it has 4 bathrooms not two haha xx
Price wise is cheap for area it's a longtime since I sold a property first went in a day second a week Mabey I'm just impatient

I don't think the kerb appeal is there from the front of house pictures, if I'm honest- some greenery would soften it a bit.

The floor plan looks a bit chaotic but once you're in there I'm sure it makes more sense. (I do dislike the downstairs bedroom but it is what it is.)

Bathroom looks like it needs updating.

There is only one other in your area on that site for the same price- 2 fewer bedrooms and not especially appealing so I don't think it's the price.

All in all, I think you just need to hold out for the right buyer- I sold a 6 bedroom house many moons ago and it was just too big for a lot of buyers.

Mum2lots · 02/06/2019 20:08

It needs new bathroom suites, plus a lot of redecoration. Kitchen is new but very specific taste, ditto those grey carpets. Front looks like a municipal car park.

So it's all liveable, but either out of date or not to my taste/quite personalised taste.

TheBestSuperheroIsSpideman · 02/06/2019 20:35

Tone down those feature walls. Tartan/ flowers/ dark stripes/ green are very taste specific. Buyers would be thinking they need to redecorate soon after moving in.

Black kitchen cabinets ditto but expensive to change obvs.

Maybe store the sofas in the dining room area? Gives impression of more space and are they needed (for purposes of sale) if you already have a family room?

Cosy up family room? (Yellow room?) Maybe a beanbag or swop the sofas around?

Green up front and brighten up back. Few pots/ hanging baskets should do it easily enough.

I'm not a big fan of laminate in bedrooms. But again, more expensive to sort.

indianbackground · 02/06/2019 20:39

It is a nice house but there things that put me off. I’m not keen on the wallpaper or grey carpets. There is no photo of the study.

More cosmetic, and possibly fixable with better photos- The ground floor bedroom is hard to tell how big it is - is it a king size or a double? Either way looks like you couldn’t walk round it. Bedrooms 2,3 and 4 tables look a bit cluttered.

BigRedBoat · 02/06/2019 20:43

Some of your decor is a bit.....loud? Also the walkway behind the sofa makes the room look very narrow. The bathrooms need replacing too but it is clean and tidy, hope you sell soon.

Mokepon · 02/06/2019 20:45

Kerb appeal has already been addressed.
The whole house just looks a bit busy and I think the consequence of that is the rooms look much smaller than they probably are.

Orangeballon · 02/06/2019 20:45

No kerb appeal, you need to invest in some large pots or greenery, maybe borrow some until you sell. The house looks a bit drab from the outside with out a garden,

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 02/06/2019 20:47

To me it looks like the front use to be a double garage which would put me off massively it needs something outside to bring it all together

SavoyCabbage · 02/06/2019 20:49

I think the first two photos, the stark outside and then the tartan wall are quite off putting so maybe buyers aren’t looking any further.

I’d get the bathroom photo retaken so it’s not just a shell sink. That photo is like one of those ‘does any remember these???’ on Facebook. And get rid of the corridor in the living room.

Mum2lots · 02/06/2019 20:58

Thankyou everyone your guidance is much appreciated xx

Looks very cluttered. The kitchen diner looks messy and small. Agree the kitchen is not going to appeal to everyone. Bathrooms need replaced.

daffodilbrain · 02/06/2019 21:58

It definitely needs some curb appeal. Your decor was a very personal and it will take some updating but if it's on the lower price side you may need to be patient

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 02/06/2019 22:02

Some of the rooms look very narrow. The king size bed or whatever it is needs downsizing so the room looks less cramped. Likewise the sofa. The feature walls could do with toning down as others have said

Mum2lots · 02/06/2019 22:30

Thankyou all xx I'm being so impatient it's not been on a month yet x I need to possibly describe the downstairs bedroom/dinning room as annex and yes it's a king size bed xx

You know the housing market has slowed right down, right? Houses aren't flying off the shelves the way they used to.

bert3400 · 02/06/2019 22:43

I don't think very much is actually moving at the moment. Our neighbors have been trying to sell since Jan

Mum2lots · 02/06/2019 22:53

@CodenameVillanelle yes my previous sales have been very quick xx I miss the old days x
