Anyone else? ...share your really daft ideas that you think could work...

So, laughing at myself really....( and obviously too much time on my hands...no actually divergence tactics...should be waxing the new floor!)

I often wonder why we don't sleep upside down...(hear me out???) because that would help my ever increasing saggy, wrinkled face to be smooth.

My thinking is that by sleeping upside down or (maybe more practically in a sloping bed, feet higher than head)' gravity would pull my face the other way for 8 hours a day, combatting the sagging. I know I have creases on my face from sleeping on my side, squashing lines into my cheeks, these wouldn't be there.

Anyone else, share your daft ideas. ( or explain mine...perhaps I have unwittingly invented a new bed! )

Yes to adult parks and mates calling round to come out and play !
A cat hoover would be great too.
Similar to a sunscreen vaccination, I suggested a sunscreen car wash installed outside school/nursery so you can just shove the kids through and they are all sorted.

Afonavon · 30/05/2019 06:09

I agree with the play park for adults, and solar slates. I especially love the clubbing hours to be changed to 5pm until 9pm. I can’t fathom mot going out until 10pm, I’m:all tucked up in bed by then. There is just no appeal in late nights out anymore (ever actually, I was always snoozing in the corner of a club even in my student days!).

SnugglySnerd · 30/05/2019 06:47

Really?? Unfortunately I don't think our cat will go anywhere in the Dyson. It's on his hate list!

LittleKitty1985 · 30/05/2019 07:11

@baldycat But what about the continuity problem - If the teleporter breaks down your atoms and rearranges them elsewhere then isn't it killing you each time?

cricketmum84 · 30/05/2019 07:17

@Beechview a rocking bed would play absolute havoc with my vertigo 😂😂 I would be very very seasick!

MarniLou · 30/05/2019 12:28

Think we definitely have a new MN group for time together....at the adult play park, soft play and early evening clubs ( nightclub stretches the term far too much!)

Loving the suntan wash machine to shove the kids through!

I would really like a machine that does my make up for me. It's time consuming and boring. I'd love to just stand there and my face gets done for me Grin

Inexpertjuggler · 01/06/2019 17:48

Drive through kids party present buying.. pull up at speaking thing.. ‘ girl aged 9’, £10.... first window someone hold up 3 choices at the Glass. Point to one and pull up at 2nd window where it’s wrapped, with a card

MarniLou · 01/06/2019 17:56

Still chortling at this thread.

thisisa something like this..? One for each product....foundation-squirt; move along....eyeshadow-spray...

You would need rather a large bedroom tho!

Please can I have a clear film that sprays on my cleaned interior windows and mirrors . This could just be peeled off and be resprayed when it got dirty. Perhaps this already exists .. ?

Lozz22 · 01/06/2019 20:01

@woodcutbirds hell yeah!! Especially those indoor ones with slides that go into a huge ball pool.

woodcutbirds · 01/06/2019 20:30

@Lozz22 yes, definitely those.

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 01/06/2019 22:17

I was considering hanging a child's swing from our pergola for the grandkids but sod 'em, I'm having one for myself!

exaltedwombat · 01/06/2019 22:56

Sleeping upside down reminds me of the two bats.

'What worries you most about getting old?'
'Incontinence.'

Binglebong · 01/06/2019 23:23

I'm not sure what they're called but there is a kind of single person roundabout that's like a lopsided bucket you sit in. It tilts and as you lean out it goes faster.

Anyway, I was drunk and went to a park. Got on one of these and couldn't get out. Round and round and round and round.....

Trappedinadutchcolonialhouse · 02/06/2019 09:57

What about a machine for brushing toddlers' teeth? I remember when DD was about three and teeth brushing was an absolute nightmare 😬

ChiaraRimini · 02/06/2019 10:31

Someone did invent the self cleaning house but it didn't catch on. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frances_Gabe
A self cleaning bathroom would be more feasible though as PP suggested.

orangeshoebox · 02/06/2019 10:34

self cleaning bathroom - like the self cleaning loos on french motorway services Shock

they are absolutely frightening

Huggybear16 · 02/06/2019 10:42

This isn't such a mad idea but cars should have wheels that swivel 90 degrees, to be able to drive sideways into and out of tight parking spaces. Why can't manufacturers do this?

That is brilliant

Muddlewitch · 02/06/2019 10:44

@SnugglySnerd Our local country park has a dog wash machine

A weather controller. We could send all the excess rain to the countries with horrendous droughts. Programme in your requirements for your area... never a rainy wedding, party, BBQ again Grin

Bipbopbee · 02/06/2019 10:48

Also a machine that clips dog’s claws. You put the dog on a machine like they used to use in shoe shops, that measure a dog’s paws, then an automatic clipper sliced across underneath and does all the dog’s claws quickly and efficiently with no fuss!
Ddog hates having this claws done and it’s a chore for us both Confused

YummyFromeMummy · 02/06/2019 10:55

Great ideas, guys!!! I love two books of whacky, original ideas: "The Big Book of Ideas" by David Owen - not the politician (2003) and "The Book of Liff" by Douglas Adams - of "Hitchhiker 's Guide..." fame (1983). The first (David Owen) one includes ideas from Justin Hawkins (The Darkness frontman) and Wayne Hemmingway (Red or Read fashion guru) and even my child's headteacher (Rupert Kaye of Christ Church CofE First School in Frome, Somerset). Crikey!!! I remember one of the ideas being a baby bath that changes colour according to the temperature of the water. Another idea was a radio station for babies with "Teletubbies" style pre-language babbling; the station would be called "Radio Ga-Ga" LOL.

Graphista · 02/06/2019 19:28

From just watching an episode of bones where Angela and hodgins (both practical, engineering capable and spatially aware characters for those who don't know the show)

Unable to build a toddler toy! Mainly because the instructions have been VERY badly translated from Chinese!

Now this doesn't just apply to kids toys but flat pack etc too

Anyone who set up a database/website with actual user friendly common sense instructions would likely make a Fucking fortune!! (I'm slightly tempted myself but I'm limited in my language base as its only a few European ones)

Of course what we ACTUALLY want is for the damn things to come already built for the same price Grin

I've been debating getting a wardrobe for my room but I'm likely to end up getting one of those crappy canvas ones because there isn't space in the room to bloody build one (plus I'm crap at flat pack) but the doorway is also seriously awkwardly laid out so an already built one can't fit through Angry

Binglebong · 04/06/2019 20:21

Bern giving this far too much thought!

A glass magnet. Would be brilliant when you break a jar and need to get all the little bits up, or when indoors leave broken bottles all over parks.Angry

An enthusiasm pill. Particular useful when you have to speak to someone boring, go to work or watch Frozen for the 97th time.

There are more but I've forgotten. Somewhere to store memories would be quite useful, it needs to be a bit more efficient than my current brain.
