Are there any conspiracy theories that you just think could have an element of truth?

I love all things conspiracy theory - from a psychological/social point of view it's interesting to see what makes people fearful or pessimistic.

But I often do see some conspiracy theories a bit like Urban legends in that they could be an exaggerated truth.

Are there any conspiracy theories or rumours that you just think 'maybe...' or even ones you're completely sold on.

hopes nobody thinks the Queen is a metamorphic lizard alien

Bishop

I'm intrigued - can I have the theory PM'd too please?

Have you watched the Rich Hall stuff?

Lweji · 20/05/2019 09:15

There's questioning and there's believing... different things.

calpoppincalpol · 20/05/2019 09:36

The earth has evolved .....it is now burger shaped 😉

I heard a new one recently, might have been on TV - magnets are pure magic and prove that magic exists in the world

The term 'conspiracy theory' was coined by the CIA, to discredit anyone who got too close to the truth of their operations.

A lot of people are called conspiracy theorists for daring to doubt the threat to Israel from Iran. Yet, there seems to be no credible evidence that Iran has threatened Israel in the last 60yrs. Iran IS now making threats to Israel because Israel (who is in violation of numerous human rights issues, according to the UN) has actually threatened Iran, with the backing of the US. I'd suggest people should look up the Greater Israel Project and watch the interview US General Wesley Clark gave. He said that the US planned to take out 7 Middle Eastern countries in 5yrs. Those countries were: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Lebanon and Libya. It's creepily coincidental that not only do all those countries have oil and other valuable resources, but they are also countries that make the expansion of Israel more in line with what the GIP about.

Another 'conspiracy' is that there is no cancer cure. A protein called gcMAF was used by Dr Lyn Thyer, and her partner David Noakes.

They were only interested in stage 4 cancer patients, who had literally be written off as terminal. When Dr Thyer and David Noakes treated a number of patients that were terminal and untreatable, from a cancer standpoint, the patients who were treated with the gcMAF, by Dr Thyer, had no side effects from the protein, and the success rate for those treated with it was 70+%. This is compared to the maximum 10% success rate of those treated with standard chemo.

Dr Thyer is now due to be extradited, this Wednesday (22/5/19) to France, even though the British judicial system deems her to not have any charge to answer for. So in essence, she is being extradited to face a judge (justice Gadaud), who is renowned for his dismissal and complete indifference to the human rights of defendants. You can find her case under Ian R Crane's YouTube videos.

Anyone read Blind Gossip? it mentions an Island frequented by celebrities, politicians & royals were they can go & abuse children. Given everything that's recently happened, this doesn't sound so far fetched.

9 11..don't believe it for one second. I'm convinced the US government were the ones behind it.

PolytheneSam · 20/05/2019 10:43

The point about conspiracy theories is to have an element of truth.

Polythene - Does flat earth conspiracy have any element of truth?

If that’s a conspiracy anything could be.

Cassandrainthenight · 20/05/2019 10:50

The video above is Mitchell and Webb, still think it's the best out there on Diana's conspiracy.

FunInTheSun2019 · 20/05/2019 10:54

My great grandmother always told me to remember "believe nothing of what you hear, and only half of what you see"

The majority of the world are like sheep and just believe what they are told in the news.

I'm glad they are lots of people that do question major events in the world.

More with the insults calling people who questions stuff stupid.

bebeboeuf · 20/05/2019 11:08

I find the notion that the earth is flat highly ridiculous but I wouldn’t call the people questioning it stupid.
I have less respect for people who believe everything they are told as fact

NunoGoncalves · 20/05/2019 11:18

I'm not sure the deaths of government agents and whistle blowers count as "conspiracy theories" just because the government says "oh it was a suicide". I think a better term would be "obvious fact".

bebeboeuf · 20/05/2019 11:23

Hands off - I totally agree some are very rediculous. But I don’t think it makes that person stupid. It just means that the person who understands something as rediculous either knows more facts to make it not a conspiracy or actually hasn’t looked at something else entirely
