Hi this is a picture that my daughter did and I'd be interested to read people's opinions on it. Thank you in advance.

How old do you think the child that created this is?

6-8, I'd say, judging by the children at school.

StrumpersPlunkett · 14/05/2019 22:03

We have children I. Our year 1 class that could copy that picture from a mlp type branding

NannyR · 14/05/2019 22:04

Difficult to say - I've known four year olds who could have drawn something similar, but its not typical for most four year olds. Maybe normal for seven/eight year olds.

SomethingOnce · 14/05/2019 22:04

Seven.

Comefromaway · 14/05/2019 22:04

8/9

MerryMarigold · 14/05/2019 22:04

I work with 3-4s. One is very good at drawing and no way could she do this. V talented 6yo, fairly normal 8yo. Slightly advice average 7yo, I'd day.

CarolsBiggestFan · 14/05/2019 22:05

Copying an image - I’d say about age 6.

Theworldcouldbemymollusc · 14/05/2019 22:06

Come on op tell us the answer. Is it a stealth boast???

SuziQ10 · 14/05/2019 22:06

8-9. Maybe younger if it's traced or copied from a YouTube vid.

Frazzels · 14/05/2019 22:06

I'm guessing about 7

TitchyP · 14/05/2019 22:06

I'm not sure I could draw like that and I'm the wrong side of 45

Bellatrix14 · 14/05/2019 22:08

My boyfriend’s very able, nearly 5 year old doesn’t even colour within the lines (or attempt to!), some of you must know some very advanced 3 and 4 year olds!

It’s very sweet, I’d say maybe 7 or so?

RuthW · 14/05/2019 22:09

10?

slithytove · 14/05/2019 22:10

7

thegreatcrestednewt · 14/05/2019 22:10

Ha ha ha to 3 or 4. Loons.

Um. My 12yo could not do this... it’s very good! Love the expression in her eyes!

Is it copied or an original, though?

RiddleyW · 14/05/2019 22:11

My 4 year old is nowhere near that - at least 7 I think.

SomethingOnce · 14/05/2019 22:11

OP, did the baby appear in the labour room clutching it, having used the second stage of labour productively?

Still18atheart · 14/05/2019 22:11

Any age between 9-13. They clearly have a talent whatever their age

zen1 · 14/05/2019 22:12

6 or 7.

Lightbright · 14/05/2019 22:12

I’m guessing 7 - similar to my niece’s drawing.

Lacazettes · 14/05/2019 22:13

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think she did use an image to copy, sorry should have put that in OP.

She has just turned 6. I think she does have some artistic talent but I may be biased and she's my only child so nothing to compare it with.

She is quite behind in terms of development - still in nappies at 4 and is struggling with phonics and reading so I guess I wanted to know if this was something she was doing well in.

grumpyyetgorgeous · 14/05/2019 22:13

I'd say 8/9 copied from a book or picture I'm guessing?

3boysandabump · 14/05/2019 22:13

I think even copying that's a fantastic picture for a just turned 6 year old

InsertFunnyUsername · 14/05/2019 22:14

A very good 6 year old?

grumpyyetgorgeous · 14/05/2019 22:14

Cross post, but that's really good for a six year old Smile
