What foods are like "crack" to you?

For me it's peanuts. Any nuts really but salted KPs in particular, I literally cannot stop eating them once I get going. I have to ration them to weekends only.

And tiger bread. I could stand at the kitchen side with a bread knife and some butter and make serious headway in eating a whole loaf if I let myself.

What foods are like this for you?

Nuts
Bread

Oooh you devils! I’m salivating reading all these responses

EstuaryBird · 12/05/2019 19:50

OK, I know I’m weird.

Mine is grilled plaice. I’ll drive a couple of hours to get to a shop on the coast which sells them on the same day they’re caught.

Keep it whole, rub both sides with a little oil, salt and pepper, then grill, turning when skin is crisped - but don’t dry out the fish. Eat with some brown bread and butter. I crave it!!! I’d eat it every day if I could Blush.

Biscuits 🍪🍪🍪

Davespecifico · 12/05/2019 19:52

None, wine maybe, or a pack of fruit pastilles.. I don’t like feeling full.

But my favourite foods are butter with salt crystals, quadruple fat cheese like Delice de Bourgogne, chicken liver parfait, really good steak, asparagus, Spanish Belota ham, Parmesan, Tiptree marmalade and butter on Warburtons crumpets and generally all lovely food.

mizu · 12/05/2019 19:52

Chocolate. In any form really but especially giant chocolate buttons. Always have chocolate in the house.

pinkgloves · 12/05/2019 19:52

Scampi fries.

Bacon.

LemonRedwood · 12/05/2019 19:53

Those kinder sticks. They didn't used to be sold here and my dad would bring them back whenever he went on a business trip to Brussels or Germany. I can eat them until I feel sick and then I will keep eating them. Blush

bibbidybob · 12/05/2019 19:55

Peanuts

escapade1234 · 12/05/2019 19:55

There are too many to list. Thing I just can’t buy because I will devour every last bit in one go. Really pedestrian items too.

Midget gems.
Rice Krispie marshmallow bars
Tunnocks caramel wafers. Once bought a 16 pack thinking they’d last ages. I don’t want to say how long they survived.
Always sweet things. Savoury items are consumed at a normal rate.

I’ve always had a very odd relationship with food. Binge starve cycle. I have to be very careful about trigger foods. So weird. I’ll never understand it. When I hear about people having a cup of tea and a biscuit I always think “wonder what they did with the rest of the packet to stop them eating the whole thing?”

IamEarthymama · 12/05/2019 19:56

Gluten Free Milk Chocolate HobNobs.
Seriously after being deprived of lovely goodies, these arrived on the FreeFrom shelves and I was addicted!
I don't have them often, or at all atm as I started a low-carb way of eating, but my mouth waters when I see the box 😊
DW loves them too though she doesn't have to eat GF, she reckons the ordinary ones aren't a patch on the GF ones.

At £3 a box though they really aren't for everyday eating, we had some in our Christmas treats box Blush

LRTR28 · 12/05/2019 20:00

Mozzarella sticks
Cheese and crackers
Magic stars

GeriAtric · 12/05/2019 20:02

Tunnock's teacakes. I easily eat a whole box in one sitting.

Lemonsquinky · 12/05/2019 20:03

Crisps and biscuits. I disgust myself with the amount I can eat and how I can't stop, even if I feel sick.

Hiddenaspie1973 · 12/05/2019 20:04

Chocolate
Wotsits
Cakes
Cookies
Crunchy thick crisps

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 12/05/2019 20:07

Those Japanese rice crackers that you get in Holland and Barrett. I never buy them as I literally can't stop eating them until I have finished a whole bag!

It's the crunchy/salt/sweet combination that gets me. Totally addictive

ballsdeep · 12/05/2019 20:09

Crisps. I could eat bags and bags and bags

bibbitybobbityyhat · 12/05/2019 20:09

NabooThatsWho · 12/05/2019 20:10

Spicy crisps and fizzy sweets.

NabooThatsWho · 12/05/2019 20:11

Also, chips with lots of salt and vinegar.

Mustbetimeforachange · 12/05/2019 20:12

Tesco (or Aldi or Lidl) sea salt crackers, I think they are called. I just can't stop!
