What foods are like "crack" to you?

For me it's peanuts. Any nuts really but salted KPs in particular, I literally cannot stop eating them once I get going. I have to ration them to weekends only.

And tiger bread. I could stand at the kitchen side with a bread knife and some butter and make serious headway in eating a whole loaf if I let myself.

What foods are like this for you?

Cheddar cheese (the maturer the better) on pasta, chips or on crackers with pickle

Anything breaded or battered (nuggets, fish, spring rolls etc.) preferably dunked in Heinz ketchup

Pizza

Tesco sweet chilli coated peanuts and aldi butter tablet. I have no self control.

jellyshoeswithdiamonds · 12/05/2019 21:23

Chelsea bun

Not from just any shop though, I get mine from a particular independant baker. He makes them huge like they used to be when I was a child.

Thank god I live over 60 miles away from the baker.

I have two when I go there. Dh goes into the shop otherwise I'd buy more than two and I say if there's no chelsea buns don't get me anything.

Randoms, flamin hot cheetos. The chocolate brioche loaf thing from Aldi.

Bonkerz · 12/05/2019 21:27

Happy shopper snax crisps. Mini bags of flavoured puffs. I sit and eat all 24 packs in one go. Yummy.

Morrisons salted caramel ice cream cones . I can eat the whole box in a day . That and their toffee milkshake .

In fact , a long bath with a salted caramel cone and a glass of toffee milkshake is my idea of a really good time ..

AJPTaylor · 12/05/2019 21:33

Peanut butter on crumpets.

BlackeyedGruesome · 12/05/2019 21:37

Salted peanuts
Pringles
Chocolate
Proper bread and butter
Toffees

And, weirdly, if I cooked a big batch of frozen sprouts those too. Just the Morrisons ones mind.

Sweet chilli rice crackers - but only one particular brand, (in photo). Oddly enough, I'm not that keen on anything else with sweet chilli in. I can eat a whole box, (and make inroads into a second), without even blinking. DH is convinced they're coated in crack or something.

Oh I forgot cheese! Any and all types of fabulous cheese. Just not Ewes cheese. Grim and still smells of sheep.

7salmonswimming · 12/05/2019 21:57

www.thedailymeal.com/crack-pie-recipe

This. It’s actually called “Crack Pie”. It’s mainly butter, sugar and eggs many times over, with a few other things. But the quantities and combinations make something totally divine.

437 kcals per serving.

437 kcals of heaven Blush

Nutkin123 · 12/05/2019 22:01

Cheese. Can't have it in the house anymore.

dellacucina · 12/05/2019 22:02

Homemade buttered popcorn
Wine

drspouse · 12/05/2019 22:03

Sour cream and chive Pringles.
Cherries (ate a full pound someone brought to a work meeting once, couldn't stop).
Lindt chocolate reinbunnies.

Cherrysoup · 12/05/2019 22:05

Cheese and bread. I try not to buy either often. Like a pp, I could easily stand at the counter and go through a baguette 🥖 with butter and a bit of cheese.
