My kitchen is clean and tidy, bedrooms all done, spare room a tip, lounge room not too bad, bathroom needs a good scrub which I will do soon.

How about yours?

It's clean and tidy through out and the garden is all done as well. Even the patio is clean.

I'm actually starting to worry about myself. I really can't stand mess. I tidy as I go, and have a cleaner once a week.

When I was younger I was horribly messy. I think as I grew up in quite bad conditions, and this our fifth house I love, it's important to me it always looks nice.

I commented to my husband on thr fact I was quite anal about it awhile ago and he said "you're just houseproud" which made me raise an eyebrow, as it seems such an old fashioned phrase and not how I'd consider myself, But I think that's exactly what it is. 🤷‍♀️

Adversecamber22 · 05/05/2019 15:57

Very tidy and clean apart from clean washing needing putting away and recycling bag needs putting in the bin outside but conservatory is a tip. We had a big sort out and there is a huge box of stuff to be dealt with, plus some stuff on the floor.

BillywigSting · 05/05/2019 15:59

An absolute shambles.

But my excuse is we only moved in yesterday, don't have all our furniture yet (buying new) and the place doesn't seem to have been cleaned by its previous occupants in approximately forever

AragonsGirl · 05/05/2019 16:01

Downstairs not too bad as we have a cleaner once a week who tackles that. Our bedroom is ok as I did that yesterday. The spare room/husbands office/hobby room...don’t ask! I refuse to tidy it!

teenagetantrums · 05/05/2019 16:04

It's messy. But cleanish. There is washing everywhere waiting to be out away and lots of crap in Hall. Shoes seem to breeding. I just got in from work and was going to tidy but can't be bothered. Maybe tomorrow

MaddieElla · 05/05/2019 16:07

Everywhere is tidy and clean because I blitzed the bathrooms yesterday which were in desperate need. Blush

Downstairs is always spotless though, especially my living room which I hate being a mess in any way. Kitchen is spotless as I can't stand an untidy kitchen with stuff on the worktops.

My kids are 15 and 12 though so hardly venture out their rooms and toys are a thing of the past.

midsomermurderess · 05/05/2019 16:09

a bit of a heap. My kitchen is midway through being replaced and there is dust everywhere. Seems a bit pointless doing everywhere else with that going on. It is mildly depressing though.

Otterses · 05/05/2019 16:14

Packed Grin we're moving on Tuesday.

TokyoSushi · 05/05/2019 16:14

All pretty good except for the washing, DH 'kindly' did 4 loads but didn't seem to factor in that we'd need to get it dry 🙄

RoseMartha · 05/05/2019 16:20

Cleaned kitchen and hall and bathroom today.
Lounge looks like widow twankeys laundry and needs a hoover. Bedrooms need tidying

Wheresmrlion · 05/05/2019 16:22

Messy but clean.

Toddler mayhem downstairs will take about fifteen minutes to sort out when they’re in bed. Dishwasher needs unstacking and stacking again and dining table needs wiping down from lunch. Basket of washing to put away upstairs.

JeezYouLoon · 05/05/2019 16:24

Shit tip! No food in and 'D'H has invited friends over for tea Confused

No idea what we'll eat, I've decided to roll with it and have opened a bottle of gin. They are very good friends and I have enough other stress on, we'll have to wing it 🤞

Lauren83 · 05/05/2019 16:24

Not good at all, I have a 15 month old I'm 8 months pregnant plus working overtime so It's a bit neglected

Schnitzelvonkrumb · 05/05/2019 16:30

Fairly awful. Everyone else in the house is mess-blind and would walk over something 100 times before thinking about putying it away don't get me started on DH floordrobe

LotsToThinkOf · 05/05/2019 17:04

Living room passable. Kitchen needs a wipe over. Bathrooms alright. Don't get me started on the bedrooms. I've closed the playroom door, that's for another day.

My hall is a mess; because of the weather we have spring and winter clothes and shoes in there and it's cluttering it all up. It'll be fine once I can put the winter stuff away but the big coats keep falling off the hangers and the dog keeps running away with all the shoes.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/05/2019 17:08

Like we've played a game of Jumanji and lost. Grin

Normally reasonably tidy but we've done nothing today or yesterday....I'm just about to whizz round now and do a bit of a hurricane housework to put it back to normal!

Applesbananaspears · 05/05/2019 17:13

Absolutely fine as it always is. Nice and tidy, all clean. I don’t do mess and tidy as I go along. I couldn’t live in a tip.

washinglions · 05/05/2019 18:14

Shambolic. Thank goodness I have a day off work tomorrow and can catch up a bit.

ThisIsTheEndgame · 05/05/2019 18:21

Unusually clean and tidy, other than the Duplo all over the living room floor, but that will only take a minute to chuck back in the box after bedtime.
I do prefer a clean and tidy home, but am a bit lazy. Happily we had visitors today, and will have more at least twice this week, so I was motivated.

MrsPear · 05/05/2019 18:26

Living room - is fine.
Dining room - table needs a wipe and floor a sweep / just had dinner
Kitchen - washing up needs doing, floor sweeping, h’s wash clothes need to be loaded and rubbish taken out.
Upstairs no idea

I’m sitting on my bum watching deep space 9

MintyCedric · 05/05/2019 18:27

Not as tidy as I'd like it but basically clean and not so untidy as to drive me nuts.

I might be very mildly embarrassed about the dining area & hall if someone dropped in but since that's unlikely to happen I will continue mumsnetting and cuddling the cat!

DungballInADress · 05/05/2019 18:33

Category is....Crack Den Realness.

We've been away at a wedding since crack of dawn yesterday morning and worked all week. I swear I'm going to do it tomorrow.

troppibambini · 05/05/2019 18:33

It's needs a quick half an hour tidy, sides and table wipe down, floors sweeping.
There is a small pile on the stairs that needs taking up.
I usually do this now while dh baths the three youngest kids and puts them to bed. We have lots of kids so I need to stay on top of things otherwise chaos descends.
I've got a about two loads of ironing to do and I load to put in. I'm a fast ironer though so will only take me and hour in the morning.
I'm going to do some batch cooking tomorrow as well as I feel like I'm struggling for ideas for quick meals during the week.

123bananas · 05/05/2019 18:37

Kitchen and bathroom clean thanks to DH.

Living room in slight disarray due to ongoing pillow fight between DH and DC's.

Bedrooms an absolute state.

Zofloramummy · 05/05/2019 18:39

A tip. I’m 2 days post surgery. My 8 yr old isn’t great at tidying Grin
