My kitchen is clean and tidy, bedrooms all done, spare room a tip, lounge room not too bad, bathroom needs a good scrub which I will do soon.

How about yours?

Tidy except playroom which has toys left out. Cleanish- cleaner was here on Wednesday.
If it’s messy it makes me feel stressed so I’m always tidying.

florence11 · 05/05/2019 13:26

Upstairs needs a good dust and the floors need doing downstairs (were done Friday but we have two dogs). In terms of tidiness it's all fine, bathrooms and kitchen were done Friday too.

Iwantacookie · 05/05/2019 13:27

Bathrooms and kitchen are lovely and clean. All other areas need a sweep or a vacuum but aren't too bad

Yinderling · 05/05/2019 13:28

We are on Yellow Pages advert tip. And to make it worse they brought their dogs decided to moult all over the house.

Theoldwoman · 05/05/2019 13:30

Those that have two story homes, at least you can forget about upstairs for a bit! Grin

Not a single room is clean and tidy here. I've done 4 loads of washing and half a load of washing up, not even scratched the surface. Joining Decaf on the sofa, being pregnant, achey and tired!

Whitelisbon · 05/05/2019 13:42

Living room is ok, nothing 10 minutes won't sort later on.
Kitchen is spotless, but won't be later as dd16 is cooking roast chicken for tea.
Bathroom is spotless, have just finished cleaning it.
Hall, stairs and landing just needs hoovered, and the pile of washing taken down.
Kids room is tidy, beds have been stripped and remade this morning, just needs a Hoover.
Dd16s room, was a health hazard last night, can't see it having changed today.
Our room is ok, beds stripped but not remade yet, needs a Hoover.
Utility looks like the aftermath of a next sale. Washing in piles everywhere, and a heap of shoes needing sorted, 15 sets of school uniform in a basket waiting to be ironed.
And the garden is a disaster - cut the hedge and a couple of trees yesterday, and got cut short by hailstones, so there's chopped off bits all along the path and the garden and piles of tied up bits to go to the tip. I'll worry about them tomorrow.

mildshock · 05/05/2019 13:43

Bathroom and kitchen are both clean.
Kids bedroom is fine

Our bedroom is very messy Blush but DP is on nights, so I can't get in there until later to tidy without waking him.

Living room looks like there has been an explosion in a toy factory. Also pillow forts and (clean but unfolded) laundry and books all over the room.

I have absolutely no energy to do anything about it today.

EnidButton · 05/05/2019 13:43

Downstairs very clean and tidy.
Upstairs-
bathroom and en suite due a 'top up' clean so not dirty but a once over wouldn't harm.
Bedrooms clean but need a tidy.

Will take 5 minutes to tidy upstairs and half an hour for the bathrooms.

So not bad. Not as spotless as I like it but easily fixed.

Bamb00 · 05/05/2019 13:44

We've gone out so we don't have to look at it. It's that bad.

EnidButton · 05/05/2019 13:44

But yeah
I have absolutely no energy to do anything about it today

I'm leaving the bathrooms cleaning until tomorrow.

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 05/05/2019 13:45

It's so bad that I'm hiding out in IKEA pretending the show rooms are my house..

maddiemookins16mum · 05/05/2019 13:46

8/10 for my entire house (if you don’t look too closely).

crosser62 · 05/05/2019 13:46

Shit tip. Total shit tip.

But 3 loads of washing done, dishwasher emptied and filled again.
Need to really deep clean but cannot motivate.

Bamb00 · 05/05/2019 13:46

And it's 3 storeys of fucking chaos, wish we could keep just one floor tidy, but... too much shite, too little time. And spent the last fortnight doing the garden so it's been hugely neglected. Need someone to tell me they're going to visit as that always sends me into hyperactive Cinderella mode.

TopEndChops · 05/05/2019 13:48

'There appears to have been a struggle'

pinkunicorn20 · 05/05/2019 13:49

For once it's reasonably tidy as well as clean except ddog has destroyed a nyla bone which is currently decorating the living room floor. To the delight of my dcs we spent yday doing a big clean and declutter. Kitchen is currently in use (Sunday dinner cooking) but I wouldn't feel the need to run around like a headless chicken if someone popped over

Jemima232 · 05/05/2019 13:49

Our house is perfectly clean and tidy, as it always is.

findingmyfeet12 · 05/05/2019 13:53

It's not great. DH has just vacuumed everywhere but the kitchen needs a deep clean and not a quick wipe with a damp cloth that I've been doing for a whole week.

Loads of laundry needs putting away but I don't have the motivation.

TattiePants · 05/05/2019 13:54

Reading this might give me the impetus to get off the sofa and do some tidying. I'm usually on top of things but DH has been away a lot this week and my insomnia is pretty bad so I'm knackered and just haven't been able to be bothered.

5-10 minutes per room would have everything tidy and then a quick hoover through the house would make a massive difference. The main mess is I'm mid sort out so there are loads of black bags for the charity shop, stuff to go in the attic, piles to sell etc. Actually, the spare room looks like a charity shop atm. I'll read one more thread then I'll get up.....

Starlight2004 · 05/05/2019 13:54

Dining room tidy
Living room OK(ish, needs a vacuum now as both dogs have just had a brush)
Kitchen OK - dishes done and put away, floor could do with a mop

Kids bedrooms 1 tidy and 1 bomb-site

My bedroom - Messy!

Bathroom -clean and tidy

A pretty average Sunday! Smile

findingmyfeet12 · 05/05/2019 13:54

How do some people have show homes?

I'd genuinely like to know. Do you spend all your time cleaning?

My house has never been like that. Just once I'd like to feel that it's immaculate.

nannyplummyarse · 05/05/2019 13:55

I shipped dh to the zoo with the kids today so I could clean because there's just no point in doing it if their here.

Bathroom, kitchen sparkling (ds is in there now having a shower though 😩)

Living room, donning room and utility done.

Off upstairs now to tidy and hoover the upstairs and pack all my new clothes away 😁

Oh and I've done 6 loads of washing and hung it out 💪🏼

Sunshine1235 · 05/05/2019 13:56

We only have four rooms and they’re all pretty messy as we were out of the house by 9 this morning. But it’s just surface mess (breakfast bits, toys and clothes) it’ll be tidy very quickly once the kids are asleep. But for now I’m ignoring it and having a nap

Soontobe60 · 05/05/2019 13:57

V clean and tidy after an hour blast this morning with DH. All furniture hoovered under and behind, bathroom and kitchen cleaned, beds changed, supermarket shop done and put away, bins emptied, all flat surfaces wiped down, empty laundry basket ( but full ironing basket until DH clears it in the morning.
I, however, look shocking and am off for a big lie down!
