Did any one used to watch Gladiators?

I used to love watching this on a Saturday night with my sisters and brother, we often missed the end because dinner was ready (always lasagne on a Saturday my favourite).

Wolf and Saracen were my favourites I always found Shadows eyes really scary!

We always wanted a go at it especially suspension bridge, skytrack and the eliminator.

I've just managed to find it on the telly and me and my 7 year old DD are watching it, she loves it too

Eunice was awesome- read she had to flog the Jeep she won though because the insurance was too high for her given she lived in a dodgy part of Liverpool

Yes loved it!! And watched them again recently as they were on Now tv entertainment, just as good!
One of the teachers from my school was on it!

I loved that show. I dont remember why it ended but it was brilliant

Another fan here, I went to watch it being filmed when Eunice was in it, my memory is crap but I seem to remember it being a UK vs USA all stars type one (may be totally wrong).

Lightning was in my brothers year at school, we used to see her in the local pub quite a lot.

I think the question would be who didn’t watch gladiators. My fave were Trojan and jet and I met Trojan and lightning, they were really nice.
I had a teacher at school called mr Thomas and he looked a bit like the wolf not to mention was miserable too so we used to call him wolf 🙈😂

Rhino went to school with my dad and his daughter was the year above me at school.

I've just looked Lightning up on Facebook, she's hardly changed except is built more like Rhino now!

I loved collecting the stickers and silver ones were special. Never stuck them in the sticker book tho, just carried them around at school. Boys drooled over the jet one.

Jesus, gladiators was Saturday night tv at its best. In fact, saturday nights were insane back in the day:

Who was the gladiator who did a backflip on the podium for Hang Tough to ‘Hey rock and roll’? I think it was Jet or Lightening. She was pretty cool 😎

Hey Rock n Roll was the announcement music for the gladiator on Hang Tough whoever the gladiator was.

Both Jet and Lightning did front flips when they were announced. In later series (well, for her - she left after series 4), Jet would also pick up her foot and play her leg like a guitar.

Every episode of the classic series is now on YouTube, by the way.

There were several international series, and also several ashes against the Aussies. Eunice won an international series and was runner up in an Ashes, both against fellow Brit Kerryn Sampey.

Series 5 is my favourite, Jet's absence apart, when they pitted the North against the South.

Wolf was my favorite, too.

I don't think it really promoted sport and fitness in a positive way though. It's too much pressure on the human body. I'm guessing lots of injuries and lots of pills.
