Did any one used to watch Gladiators?

I used to love watching this on a Saturday night with my sisters and brother, we often missed the end because dinner was ready (always lasagne on a Saturday my favourite).

Wolf and Saracen were my favourites I always found Shadows eyes really scary!

We always wanted a go at it especially suspension bridge, skytrack and the eliminator.

I've just managed to find it on the telly and me and my 7 year old DD are watching it, she loves it too Smile

We used to sing Gladihamsters when they hamsters were out having a wander in their hamster balls.

I wish that they still made the show.

Loved it. Classic 90s sat night telly was so great. I think I was about 8 or 9.

I wanted to be Jet! I was obsessed, had outfits and everything Grin
Loved seeing it live. Walked straight into Saracen outside and he was just lovely.
Met Scorpio and Shadow at a theme park - they were awesome.
Always wanted to meet Jet and never managed to. I’d still be star struck if I bumped into her now!

Bettys it's on challenge I found it on demand on Sky all the series I'm onto the semi finals of series 2.

This was literally my favourite programme ever. I loved it as a young teen. Recorded and rewatched the episodes, saved up and bought them on VHS, bought the magazines, queued for ages to meet various Gladiators Blush my interest waned when my favourite (Jet) left and I got old enough for a Saturday night social life at the same time Grin

From the age of about 6, my DC have loved Gladiators and we watch it together. This led us to Scrapheap Challenge & a couple of other programmes too.
Ninja Warrior is a modern sport challenge thing which my two enjoy. It's on at about 6 on a Saturday night.

I loved it too - my favourite game was the one in the big hamster ball! Jet was my favourite girl and Cobra my favourite boy. I remember the contestant Eunice who won a series - didn't she become a stunt woman in Hollywood and then a gladiator later? Must go off and google.

Ninja Warrior just isn't as satisfying. It's like eating lettuce when you really wanted cake.

Yes peanutbutter me and DD were watching Ninja Warrior which reminded me of Gladiators and we've been working out way though it. Takes me right back.

There was one of the contenders who said she liked to smoke a cigarette after competing! Shows it's age.

Loved Gladiators, knew people who tried to get on as contenders - didn't quite manage it, even the trials were tough!
