As Parklife turns 25 [old duffer emoticon] this year!

Mine are:

Out of Time
On Your Own
All Your Life
Chemical World
For Tomorrow
To The End
Coffee and TV

Probably loads more I can't think of right now

And thanks to the OP for reminding me how awesome blur are.

It’s true, ruffle! When I listen to these songs I’m a different age with different emotions, the song finishes and I’m back to reality, the shock of time speeding up. It’s joyful but depressing at the same time!

NigellasGuest · 03/05/2019 22:29

I feel the same but it's great to see Damon popping up now and then, still massively creative and ageing along with me.

Everythingmagnolia · 03/05/2019 22:30

The Universal, ah memories!

Bellablahhole · 03/05/2019 22:35

Song 2

What's your favourite Blur song?

You're very welcome radiantlemur

Except he only seems to be aging into a sexier version of his 90s self somehow Nigella. Must be the hot yoga Grin

There was a long 6music thing with him the other day. His speaking voice has got sexier too, somehow. But then again I'm from the same part of the world as he is, so maybe it's familiarity.

Does anyone remember Rock Profiles with Jamie Theakston and Matt Lucas?

This is a low, begrudgingly. Bever really liked Blur, was always Oasis for me. That was my period for music, so really bought into the whole Blur V Oasis thing. Saw Noel do his acoustic Wonderwall at Glastonbury (on tv) and then was gutted when it was released as a single with Liam singing it as I always preferred Noel. Don't even like them anymore, although I still maintain Acquiesce is a fucking amazing song. Anyway, I digress... Damon did and still does irritate the fuck out of me, face you'd never tire of punching etc Grin

Mythreefavouritethings · 03/05/2019 23:14

That YouTube link also serves to remind me of my teenage crush on Jamie Theakston. Now the nostalgia is really kicking in 😂

RuffleCrow · 03/05/2019 23:18

Thank you Helmut that made me lol.

Esp Graham. Not a big David Walliams fan but that was pretty funny

To quote Jarvis Cocker, Prawn "you never hear anyone say 'ooh, he's really come out of his shell since he started taking them drugs"

Cocaine is responsible for about 90% of the bullshit that accompanied the Britpop scene

Surprised there's not been more votes for There's no Other Way. Got to be my favourite. Also Girls and Boys.

EL8888 · 03/05/2019 23:41

For Tomorrow
Clover Over Dover
Theme From an Imaginary Film

Those are the big 3, lm a massive fan of most of them. Apart from Country House which is shit, as is Wonderwall

CIT80 · 03/05/2019 23:44

Country house !!!!

xsquared · 04/05/2019 00:57

Have you tried the quiz? I did abysmally but to be fair, I wasn't heavily into Brit pop and only know a handful of their songs from around 1994ish.

I like Charmless Man and of course Song 2.

xsquared · 04/05/2019 00:58

Link to the quiz

RuffleCrow · 04/05/2019 07:12

Yep, i did the quiz too. I was an obsessive back in the day but still only came out with a 'respectable' score Blush

Must be the intervening years of motherhood frying my brain.
