As Parklife turns 25 [old duffer emoticon] this year!

Mine are:

Out of Time
On Your Own
All Your Life
Chemical World
For Tomorrow
To The End
Coffee and TV

Probably loads more I can't think of right now

Sing - love the instrumental parts

To The End is the only Blur song I really like. I'm not a massive fan of Damon Albarn's voice. Was having a conversation with someone the other day about most of Brit Pop not really standing the test of time. So much rubbish looking back. Pulp come out on top I think.

IAlmostCracked · 03/05/2019 20:02

Song2! Woo hoo!

Loopytiles · 03/05/2019 20:04

Was a fan back in the day, but now don’t like them anymore, except Song 2 and This is a Low.

FromDespairToHere · 03/05/2019 20:04

Coffee + TV, There's No Other Way, Song 2, Boys and Girls - it all depends on my mood!

MissBehaving1000 · 03/05/2019 20:04

I was never a Blur fan tbh but just coming on to express my shock that Parklife is 25yrs old?! Blimey that makes me feel well old!

Frogbull · 03/05/2019 20:05

I love End of a Century. And when I saw No Distance Left to Run live I got a massive spine shiver. So that one too.

PajamasnoDramas · 03/05/2019 20:05

Wow, you lot are miraculously reminding me of all my other favourite Blur songs!

Yy to Tender and This is a Low. I also have a soft spot for Clover Over Dover with the gorgous folky harpsichord, suicidal lyrics and possibly the most beautiful lilting guitar solo Graham ever played.

I'm so darn proud of Damon Albarn, he's been more or less consistently brilliant and so, so creative ever since i hit my teens. He's getting dangerously close to National Treasure status imo.

And the other three have all done interesting stuff too Grin

Country House

Notjudesmum · 03/05/2019 20:12

End of a century ❤️

Although I’m Oasis through and through so probably shouldn’t admit that 😬

parrotonmyshoulder · 03/05/2019 20:13

Parklife, Girls and Boys and To the End.
Now I have very favourable ear worms for the weekend. Thank you.

TigerBreadAddict · 03/05/2019 20:13

Song 2

LadyOfTheCanyon · 03/05/2019 20:14

This is a low

DuggeesWoggle · 03/05/2019 20:14

To The End and This is a Low are both beautiful songs.

For Tomorrow.

I think the b side of the Country House single has a version of To The End where Damon sings in French!!

ILoveYou3000 · 03/05/2019 20:15

Tracy Jacks
End of a Century
To The End

Every single one, I can't choose.

THIS!
He is brilliant.

PP has reminded me of No Distance Left to Run - wonderful.
I actually like Damon's voice a lot, although I can understand why some wouldn't. I think he's a very emotional person and that comes through in his voice.

HiHoS · 03/05/2019 20:21

There's no other way and Chemical World

Vinorosso74 · 03/05/2019 20:25

I love Blur! For Tomorrow, Popscene, Song 2, This is Low, Beetlebum.
Country House is diabolical tho.

KaliforniaDreamz · 03/05/2019 20:25

Tender

I can't choose!!
Although Liam always makes me laugh MUCH more than Damon ever could.

eurochick · 03/05/2019 20:27

I saw him at Reading singing No distance Left to Run just after he broke up with Justine. Oh my word, it was so moving. The drunken Reading crowd just stopped for it.

But I think Girls and Boys is my overall favourite. It was the soundtrack of my uni years.
