Am I pregnant? With a twist!

Well, am I?
Am married, 40, not on hormonal contraception, periods gone a weird, but still regular.

For the past week or 2 am feeling with regularity tiny 'kicks' and 'rolls' along one side of my abdomen. Am not unusually gassy or anything. I have 3 kids already, for context, and it feels exactly like the first glitters.
Someone at work asked was I pg. Well my tummy has started to stick out a bit in front but I put it down to the wine and pizza.

I do feel fairly tired and had some horrendous anxiety attacks of late. Which to me are sparked by hormones.
But could also be the aforementioned wine and pizza. Or the peri. Or having 3 kids, a job, normal life stuff.

I do not want to freak out or tell anyone or make any sort of drama unless I have to. I just want to calmly and quietly poas - is there any stick for detecting a pregnancy of a few months rather than weeks?

I'm not in the UK, so GP visit will be €50, and I want privacy to consider my options, if any.

sounds like peristalsis

DelurkingAJ · 03/05/2019 08:16

If your periods are very light (mine are, huge blessing) then you can have pretty convincing periods whilst pregnant. I’d wised up with DS2 but was 7 weeks out with my date of conception with DS1.

Hope all is ok OP, whatever the test says Flowers

If you could report back before the Sun or DailyFail pick this up, that would be great Grin

@7Days is still posting actively around the site so I presume she wasn't pregnant. Not sure what the twist was @ILoveMaxiBondi! Grin

Hi guys, thanks for asking.
I did a test and am not pregnant. I do feel a bit daft now.
I have an apt with GP next week, a routine one, so I'll mention my concerns then.
Thanks for the suggestions and I'm sure it will be fine next week.

Good stuff, OP. Thanks for updating.

Strongecoffeeismydrug · 09/05/2019 19:32

Well I was 41 already had two kids and layed in bed one night and felt a funny gassy feeling .
I suffer from pcos so periods all over the place.
Tested next morning because I couldn't shake the omg I can't possibly be pregnant feeling off.
Positive so booked an appointment with go next day and got sent for a scan as doctor wanted to be sure it wasn't a false positive (I had no pregnancy symptoms what so ever).
Turns out I was 25 weeks pregnant with a baby girl lol .
Never been as shocked in my life.and I always said people who don't know there pregnant must be lying lol

BabyDueDecember2019 · 09/05/2019 20:03

Glad you are getting checked out

TwitterQueen1 · 09/05/2019 22:43

OK, I tried to be subtle but it didn't work. You seem to be sticking your fingers in your ears and singing La La La La.....

I had your symptoms. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer because I ignored them.

If that has scared you into taking this seriously, I'm glad. Obviously I hope it isn't anything serious but it MIGHT be. Don't make the same mistake I did.

7Days · 10/05/2019 21:51

No, TwitterQueen1, I got what you were saying, and I do thank you. And without knowing your story, wishing you all the best. You're being very decent looking out for a stranger.
I have an appointment for next week and I'll definitely raise it then, had treatment for cervical changes a couple of years ago so still on regular checkup. And the dr is familiar with me and my carry on so I wanted to wait to see her in particular.
My aunt is very unwell with ovarian cancer at the moment so it's all a bit close to home I suppose.

How are you getting on @7Days?

7Days · 25/05/2019 15:25

Hi JustSomebodie, thanks for asking.
I'm not pregnant anyway. Grin
Dr was great, understood my concerns and said to come back in 3 months and we'll see do I need a scan then. Shes very thorough so I'm happy enough now.
