Cannot believe what DH has done!

Only brought in the recycling bin BEFORE the bin men came! It was full to the brim and we have to wait another 2 weeks before it will be collected. Why is he so stupid? I am so angry.

So angry.....
About the bin?

BikeRunSki · 02/05/2019 08:24

Is it too late to put it out agsin?
At least it’s the recycling bin abd it won’t start to stink! P

toomuchfaster · 02/05/2019 08:24

Can you report it as missed? Bit cheeky, but if you do it quickly they could come back as part of their round?

FiremanKing · 02/05/2019 08:28

Make him take it to the local tip.

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 02/05/2019 08:29

toomuchfaster - good idea!

FiremanKing - Even better idea!

With recycling because it's all clean I would leave the bin, then just fill up bags of recycling and get him to take them to the tip to empty.

It's frustrating but clearly a mistake, he's not gonna have done it in purpose.

Singlenotsingle · 02/05/2019 08:31

What a strange thing to do.

bigbadbadger · 02/05/2019 08:38

Has he explained why?

gamerchick · 02/05/2019 08:39

Why though? What was going through his head when he did that?

Mrsjayy · 02/05/2019 08:41

Why would he be touching the bin ? I would be annoyed but make the disposal of recycling his problem for the next fortnight !

pinkyredrose · 02/05/2019 08:41

Couldn't he tell it was heavy?

Ohyesiam · 02/05/2019 08:42

Why would he do that? He needs to take it all to the local tip.

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 02/05/2019 08:44

Unfortunately, he doesn't think very deeply about these things. He never brings the bins in as a rule, so I expect he thought he was being useful! Yes, it was really heavy as so full - grrrr!

OP posts:
GoldenGumballs · 02/05/2019 08:45

Get in and jump

Mrsjayy · 02/05/2019 08:46

Maybe he is racing the neighbours to be first to bring the bin in and cheated 😀

SanJunipero · 02/05/2019 08:46

I did this once Blush The bin was really heavy and clearly still full, but I had a lot on my mind and was totally on autopilot. I was so annoyed with myself when I later realised what I'd done!

mydogisthebest · 02/05/2019 08:48

I can't believe you are annoyed about it. I would laugh about it if my DH did that.

diddl · 02/05/2019 08:49

What an idiot!

Don't call the bin men back though-it's not their mistake.

Leave your husband to deal with it.

Shodan · 02/05/2019 08:59

Make him get into the bin and stamp it all down.

Repeat with the next 2 weeks' worth of recycling. Anything that won't fit in, he has to take to the tip .

MaudeLynne · 02/05/2019 09:00

Just get him to get in and tread the rubbish down, they'll be plenty of space then.

SandlakeRd · 02/05/2019 09:00

Get DH to empty it out bit by bit and take it to recycling centres. Or take the next two weeks to recycling bins instead. I could imagine doing something like that on auto pilot!

Honeyroar · 02/05/2019 09:00

Make him get in and jump until its flattened down a bit! Crush all plastic bottles before you put them in (take lids off, crush them, put lid back on). Stamp on all tins to flatten them before binning. You'll hopefully get through another fortnight!

user1552403235 · 02/05/2019 09:01

God help him! Get over it. Life's short.

Baloonphobia · 02/05/2019 09:02

Pretty minor thing to get mad about. More of a 'you'll never guess what I've just done' thing to laugh over together.
