Only brought in the recycling bin BEFORE the bin men came! It was full to the brim and we have to wait another 2 weeks before it will be collected. Why is he so stupid? I am so angry.

When this happens, like when we go on hols, we just bag up then next few weeks recycling and take it to the tip.

Acis · 02/05/2019 13:16

OP, has he explained why he did this?

Kinraddie · 02/05/2019 13:20

He had one job.....

I would be annoyed too. It's exhausting having to put right countless little things like this.

Dh and I had a humdinger of a row the other night because he put the clothes horse, full of washing, outside the back door while he was cooking so that the washing wouldn't smell of bacon.

  1. Only trouble was it was during storm Hannah so the clothes horse blew over and all the clean washing ended up on the wet patio.
  1. The washing was dry anyway. It just needed to be taken off the clothes horse and put in the other room. He said "I didn't know it was dry" I said "what, were you waiting for me to come along with my magic dry-laundry-sensing vagina and tell you it was dry?"
  1. The clothes horse broke after being blown over and we've had to spend £25 on a new one.

He was surprised I was so angry with him ... but FUCKS SAKE!

"what, were you waiting for me to come along with my magic dry-laundry-sensing vagina and tell you it was dry?"

I'm afraid we need to divorce our DH for bigamy as we are clearly married to the same bloke. What a div!

That made me laugh BibbityBobbityyhat - I also get the 'well, I didn't know' about all sorts of things which he has not done quite right! Like throwing tea dregs in the sink and not rinsing away so tea stains the sink - he didn't know - but he still does it! Good thing I love him dearly!

What's actually in the bin? We have a recycling box which we are only allowed to put tins and papers in and a green bin which is for food and garden waste. Plastic and glass we have to take ourselves to the tip or recycling areas. Why not send loads of cars driving a few bags each to the bin rather than a lorry once a fortnight that will collect plastic, glass etc giving people jobs at the same time. Most people bin rather than recycle and councils need to address this.

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 02/05/2019 16:15

I did this once Blush.

Our big bin is quite heavy anyway and I thought it’d been emptied.

DP was not impressed.

I always lift the lid and have a peek now.

mydogisthebest · 02/05/2019 17:15

I can't believe so many posters would be angry with their OH's about this. I could understand it a bit more if it was the smelly rubbish although I still would not be angry with DH but it's recycling for goodness sake. So presumably all washed out and not going to smell?

BikeRunSki · 02/05/2019 18:32

I wouldn’t have verb cross, but I would laugh. This would obviously tempt and mean that I’d set the kitchen on fire whilst grilling fish gingers or something.
