How’s your Saturday going?

I’m on my second round of toast and tea, some new albums on in the background, deciding what bit of my study plan to cover this morning.

Was going to some shops later to try and find an Art Deco style mirror for the bedroom. But it if the weather stays blustery, I’m more than happy to stay at home and keep listening to music instead!

I'm still in bed drinking tea!

ASauvignonADay · 27/04/2019 10:21

I need to get up and blitz as have friends over later.

Bunnybigears · 27/04/2019 10:23

I woke up at 6am to take DS2 and DH to a swimming gala, came back and walked the dog. Me and dog are now snuggling on the sofa and I'm trying to ignore the fact we have no food in the house and DS1 will presumably want to eat at some point today.

Decormad38 · 27/04/2019 10:24

Laying here waiting to get in shower listening to DD (13) playing some god awful music in the shower!
Need to collect older DD (19) at 12 we are all off to cinema.

iamH · 27/04/2019 10:25

Just about to set off to work

MintToBee · 27/04/2019 10:27

Internet shopping for last wedding bits. Then I'm going to try my dress on as it needs taking in due to losing a stone since buying it Grin

KetchupOnRoastDinner · 27/04/2019 10:27

Are you seeing Avengers @Decormad38

Run down to park run and then done some extra miles on top. Looking forward to coffee and waffles when I've finished. Everyone else wanted to stay in pj's all morning when I left - they may have had a point!

Crunchymum · 27/04/2019 10:28

I'm hungover Shock

Rare night out yesterday (drinks, wonderful Turkish mezze and more drinks!!)

It's no fun having a hangover with a 6yo, 4yo and 1yo - the 1yo woor at 6am I stumbled in at gone 1am

DP is at work so I'm doing the basics (everyone is fed and watered and the food shopping has arrived and been put away!). I'm going to stick a film on soon for older two and nap on the sofa when baby has her hour.

I think we'll all go to bed at 8pm tonight Grin

Crunchymum · 27/04/2019 10:29

woor = woke

EleanorReally · 27/04/2019 10:29

got to walk dog, washing is on line,
go and see my dm and do some shopping for her
got to wake dd who might be coming too
work later

lucysmam · 27/04/2019 10:31

I'm waiting for the girls to get up. We have hot cross buns for breakfast when they eventually come down.

I want to deep clean the kitchen and bathroom this weekend. I start a new job on Monday & don't want to have to think about cleaning much this coming week, to give me chance to settle into new routine.

I need to iron too; school shirts and one of the shirts I bought for work. And I could do with baking with dd2 for packed lunches at some point too.

kaytee87 · 27/04/2019 10:31

My mum has just dropped my toddler home as she had him last night. DH and I both have mild hangovers, I'm grilling some sausages just now for breakfast.
Ds was up very late last night at granny's so he's having a lie down just now in front of Thomas the tank (he refused to go to bed).
We're going to a friends later for a bbq but won't be out late as ds will need his bed at 7 tonight.

QueenAnneBoleyn · 27/04/2019 10:34

Having cuddles with the toddler before going to work for a late shift.

TessTackle · 27/04/2019 10:36

Wheezing away on the sofa after being sent home from work for being so breathless.

Feeling very sorry for myself & waiting for dp to get home.

namechangedbutneedadvice · 27/04/2019 10:41

Lucysmam What will you be baking for packed lunch? Curious for some inspiration...

I'm currently having beans on toast with hash browns in a cafe while my DDs are at gymnastics for an hour. Bliss... Grin

FrenchyQ · 27/04/2019 10:43

DH woke up with tonsilitis so just taken him to the docs and to the chemist to get antibiotics.
I need to go to the shops as its my Dads 60th tomorrow and I still have no idea what to get him!

YessicaHaircut · 27/04/2019 10:55

Did the weekly shop and then went for a run - got blown around everywhere!
Had a shower and back into pjs for breakfast and coffee. Now chilling out listening to records and looking forward to a lovely quiet day.
Evening out at the local tonight to see a band for a friend’s birthday.

WhoopiGoldbergsCat · 27/04/2019 10:59

On my 3rd cup of tea and feeling very lazy after having friends around last night. Drank far too much gin as friend bought around 2 bottles of fancy stuff!
Off to do the weekly shop in a bit, waiting for my teens to wake so they I can give them their Saturday chore list.

Decormad38 · 27/04/2019 11:03

@ketchup yes we are. Should be good.

lucysmam · 27/04/2019 11:06

@namechangedbutneedadvice possibly a banana loaf, which will also be pudding. And definitely some choc-chip muffins but with smashed up mini eggs instead of chocolate chips :)

CatManIsInHisDressingGownAgain · 27/04/2019 11:08

Got up at 5:30am, had a nice hot shower, went to Sainsburys and Aldi then for a nice long walk down the seafront. It was cold and windy but it was what I needed to blow the cobwebs away.

Wouldn't normally get up so early but had 10 days of late nights and unhealthy eating so wanted to start the weekend early so we could get back into a sensible routine ready for the week ahead.

Going to have lunch then we are going to snuggle up under our blanket with the heating on and watch a dvd.

Binge watching Line of Duty after tea then early night 😴

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 27/04/2019 11:08

The shopping is done. DH brought me and DD an extra croissant each, so second breakfast was had.
I am doing some archive work (scanning, naming, sorting), DD is still preparing for examns (one written and three oral to go), DH writing an article that needs to reach 14 pages but not more and DS is exited because he just made a minecraft update.

Oh - and one of the cacti I raised from seed is in flower after 12 years of waiting Smile

Theoldwoman · 27/04/2019 11:11

Had a pretty productive day!

Spent 4 hours this morning out the back - cleaned out the chook pen ready for winter, tidied up the citrus trees, did a bit of gardening.
Showered and cooked lunch for everyone. Went and did a small food shop. Then sat on the couch when I got home and fell asleep! Up and cooked dinner then walked for an hour with my neighbour. Now cleaned up from dinner, a load of washing is on, and now Im sitting for a bit!

thebear1 · 27/04/2019 11:12

Took my ds aged 6 to his swim class, I have a trapped nerve in my lower back and I think it was a step to far. Think the rest of the day will be spent at home.
