Big or small .....

I have stuck to My Fitness Pal all week and logged every single calorie that has passed my lips - the scales had better be kind to me next week.

But more amazingly - I achieved something at work yesterday - an admin task, so not exactly groundbreaking. But it has been on my 'to-do' list for 12 years.

That is not a typo - it has taken me 12 years to get around to doing this one task that I kept pushing to the bottom of the list Shock Grin

I finally cleaned out the cupboard under the stairs. It felt good.

FlorencesHunger · 07/05/2019 10:04

Sticking to my plan of daily study and working on assignments around everyday stuff. I'm slow at progressing when doing essays so I've achieved alot with this. One down two more to go!

scaryteacher · 07/05/2019 10:35

Went back to the UK to look after dm for a week after she had a cataract done. The achievement was not totally losing my shit at her whilst there!

Dowser · 07/05/2019 12:28

Healing myself from a very nasty kidney infection accompanied with headache from hell, nausea
Turned it around in under two days

have an empty ironing basket (should have ended my marriage sooner)

Sounds like a country and western song Grin

MrTumblesSpottyHag · 07/05/2019 12:42

I went for a run this morning. I've been saying since September that I'm going to start couch to 5k and I finally have!

gotmychocolateimgood · 07/05/2019 14:30

I managed to cook a really delicious meal - beef enchiladas - with lots of extra portions to freeze, plus a bolognese sauce in another pan, making 12 portions altogether. Im not well so it was an achievement and great to know I've got homemade meals waiting for the family when we need them.

ifeeltheneedtheneedforspeed · 07/05/2019 17:46

That I got through the day without crying.

gotmychocolateimgood · 07/05/2019 19:49

@ifeeltheneedforspeed hope you are OK. Flowers

I bought a sheet of melamine and fixed it to the top of an under-used computer table. I now have a pattern cutting out /sewing table.
Another DIY job ticked off my list.

Sgtmajormummy · 11/05/2019 16:04

Made a baby version of this, including a matching pillowcase from the scraps, in a week of my spare time. The baby shower is next Friday so I’m ahead of myself! Grin
Particularly proud of my new Free Motion Quilting skills.

Put on half a kilo and managing not to panic. I have eaten 3 meals a day this week for the first time in over 3 years. Finally managing to start tackling my eating disorder with the help of a lovely dietitian. Still determined to keep going which is a first for me. Slowly realising that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

ProfessorofPerspective · 11/05/2019 16:13

Took part in a new tv cookery competition and did rather well!

ThatCurlyGirl · 11/05/2019 16:22

@needtowalkmore That is amazing, well done you - I'm going to take inspiration from you and try to do the same this week, focusing on nourishing my body not restricting its energy by cutting meals x

needtowalkmore · 11/05/2019 16:26

Thanks @ThatCurlyGirl! It’s amazing how something that should be so natural can feel like the most unnatural thing in the world! Here’s to hoping that one day we can actually begin to look at food as something not to be frightened of. I just keep trying to get through one meal at a time. Good luck!

Minai · 11/05/2019 17:32

I have lost 3lbs and I have stuck to healthy eating and done all my runs for couch to 5k. I’ve put on a lot of weight after having 2 babies in the space of 18 months and I got stuck in a rut of unhealthy eating and not doing any exercise so I’m quite proud of myself for sticking to it and starting to see some progress.

SweepTheHalls · 11/05/2019 17:39

Rank over 8km, the furthest I have every done 😁

SweepTheHalls · 11/05/2019 17:40

Rank? Ran ffs

WLAH · 11/05/2019 17:43

Darkness into light this morning

ThatCurlyGirl · 11/05/2019 17:46

@needtowalkmore If you want a challenge buddy I'm making myself try a new food every week so I eventually end up having more recipes to work with that don't terrify me! Instant Pot didn't work for me, too intimidating! And then I end up eating one big bit of rubbish every couple of days. So it's three meals a day and one new food each week starting tomorrow :) x

TheMShip · 11/05/2019 18:08

Submitted a grant application. It probably won't be funded, but I gave it a damn good try, even after trying to get out of it a week ago. Was encouraged to keep going by two amazing inspiring colleagues who understand my raging case of imposter syndrome.

britespark1 · 11/05/2019 20:25

I got a job! It's been over 8 years since I had to resign from my career to look after our DC but I've now got something that fits around them Smile

SweetPetrichor · 11/05/2019 20:49

I got a tattoo...after nearly a decade of being too anxious to attempt it. Got one done by hand poke method rather than machine and it was the best experience ever. So chilled out. I'm going back for more this coming week!

MajesticWhine · 11/05/2019 21:03

Congratulations topcat that's wonderful news.
I have not achieved much this week and have been struggling a bit so just glad to have go through it without any major mishaps. Looking after myself is maybe the main achievement.
