What have you achieved this week that you are proud of?

Big or small .....

I have stuck to My Fitness Pal all week and logged every single calorie that has passed my lips - the scales had better be kind to me next week.

But more amazingly - I achieved something at work yesterday - an admin task, so not exactly groundbreaking. But it has been on my 'to-do' list for 12 years.

That is not a typo - it has taken me 12 years to get around to doing this one task that I kept pushing to the bottom of the list Shock Grin

Well done Merename! I remember those days. You feel like it ought to be easy but it's not, it's damn hard work and rarely recognised.

Gottalovesummer · 26/04/2019 15:07

Is it only me who wants to know what the admin task was that waited 12 years!

Please tell!

Merename · 26/04/2019 15:42

Thank you very much @TheCountessofFitzdotterel! I was just beating myself up a bit for being so moany with DH and you are right, it is hard work. I’m going to go and say sorry and move on. He is a great help but today I needed someone to blame!

sleepyyetawake · 26/04/2019 15:47

I lost 5lbs bringing me close to my 10 stone target

RomanyQueen1 · 26/04/2019 15:51

I've been to the hairdressers and dentist, and have made appointment at the gp.
Doesn't sound much but they are my little steps after mh issues recently.
I feel much better with my gums actually having teeth now Grin My hair is still nice on second day.
Boost in confidence that has allowed me to look towards returning to some kind of work.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 26/04/2019 15:59

Lost 1.4 kilos

ImTheRealHFella · 26/04/2019 16:09

Been through the kids bedrooms and had a throw out, tidy up and big clean. It was, at times, like wading through treacle.

I'm now kondo-ing my clothes drawers

Livingthedream12345 · 26/04/2019 16:14

I replaced the seal at the bottom of the shower screen that has been broken for the last 3 years atleast. It finally got to the top of the list. Also survived another week of muppetry dished out by ex h.

Gottalovesummer Grin

It was a form that my team have had to submit quarterly - for the last 12 years they have had to complete a word version of it and email it, but now I have embraced the 21st Century and converted it to an online form on our website. Grin

We are usually pretty up to date technology wise but this bloody form has alluded me since pretty much the day I launched my business.

not all that interesting, sorry

This thread has now made me realise that I also need to haul my arse to the dentist, dye my hair and reseal the bath and shower Grin

Well done to those of you coping with young children, loosing weight and taking care of yourselves and doing so against a backdrop of MH issues Flowers

What a lovely thread. I have finished joining a blanket for Woolly Hugs, made my Easter egg last until today and gone back to an old volunteering role to help out someone who has just taken it over (no one has been doing it since I gave up about 5 years ago).

Processedpea · 26/04/2019 17:10

Talking nice to the conservative candidate instead of ranting at him

fatisnotafeeling · 26/04/2019 17:20

I have got through the week without falling apart, found out last weekend that I am unexpectedly pregnant, I have spent the week on the edge but I haven't fallen off so that's something.

ScabbyHorse · 26/04/2019 17:35

I cycled to work four out of 5 days.

troppibambini · 26/04/2019 17:41

This may sound a bit odd but I'm proud of doing nothing today. I've put my feet up and had a nap and watched rubbish tv.
I'm a sahm to four dc and spend my life chasing my own tail. I've had a (rare) child free day today and I'm knackered and feeling worn out so instead of doing the usually sorting, washing, cleaning and ironing I've done bugger all.

CurcubitaPepo · 26/04/2019 17:54

Passed 3 exams, 2 with distinctions.
Lost 2lbs (been going the gym now for about a month)
Took a step closer to opening small business.

Been a good week all in all.
Well done everyone else for achievements large and small!

Gottalovesummer · 26/04/2019 18:18

atlas that's fantastic. Sometimes sorting the small, niggley jobs give the most satisfaction!

sourdoh · 26/04/2019 18:28

Drove a manual hire car on holiday ...easier than i expected.

Learned more about my ability to let ex husband shenanigans wash over me

Practiced more self-compassion it really helps with my anxiety. I used to loathe myself. Now I don't. Cant say I like myself yet but am on the right road

Had a meeting about potentially joining the board of an organisation I'm interested in.
(THey've courted me!!!)

ENormaSnob · 26/04/2019 18:38

Didn't hand my notice in despite an overwhelming urge to do so!

Mainly down to my amazing colleagues and a bloody fabulous matron.

Sunshine196 · 26/04/2019 18:43

Had my first ofsted inspection and got the grade I wanted. I was so anxious & have been prepping for months knowing it was coming (they just phone you out of the blue). Thrilled with the result.

Nanasueathome · 26/04/2019 18:50

I did my ironing...all of it

darkriver19886 · 26/04/2019 18:56

I taught myself to edit videos! I am working on a project which needs lots of video editting.

I also buried my pride today and asked for help.

thebear1 · 26/04/2019 19:04

Survived work despite a painful condition flaring up.

barberousbarbara · 26/04/2019 19:05

I finally paid off my car finance. The car is now mine Smile

Lekky12 · 26/04/2019 19:14

Tonight I have showered, dressed, dried AND straightened my hair, plus applied some makeup without an audience of my 2 sons! 2 and 6yrs! The cat watched and my husband came in for a perv but that's ok! Now heading out for some well deserved drinks with work peeps! Not just out. Out out!
