Big or small .....

I have stuck to My Fitness Pal all week and logged every single calorie that has passed my lips - the scales had better be kind to me next week.

But more amazingly - I achieved something at work yesterday - an admin task, so not exactly groundbreaking. But it has been on my 'to-do' list for 12 years.

That is not a typo - it has taken me 12 years to get around to doing this one task that I kept pushing to the bottom of the list Shock Grin

Drove!

cantfindname · 27/04/2019 08:42

I have ridden my new (second-hand) bike four miles every day this week. That's after not riding a bike for forty years and being a 66 year old fatty! Proud of myself, if still a little scared.

Turned a second hand linen jigsaw dress I bought on ebay ( which didn’t fit me) into a linen skirt ( which now does) by creating a wasteband out of the top part of the dress, let out the darts and pit in a new zip. I just googled everything to learn how.

Lost 2lb Easter weight gain.
Went out for food, enjoyed but didn't go mad. Productive at work and study.

I have made an orthodontist appt for myself. My teeth have got worse over the last five years. My jaw aches constantly. I have womanned up and booked it

LittleCandle · 27/04/2019 08:58

Along with another friend, helped a friend tame her garden. It was great fun and the garden is now under control.

Did a floor move at work yesterday without any help from my colleague.

And this morning I have nobly agreed to go to the zoo tomorrow with DD1 and DGD, even though I would rather start my week off by sitting on my butt.

Oh, and I survived another dentist appointment on Thursday. I am really phobic, but he is brilliant with me, even if my horribly sensitive teeth still feel like they've been peeled.

Sounds stupid but I bought myself a new wax burner I wanted I find it really really hard to buy myself anything I'm still wearing my same clothes and jeans from five years ago, it was only £4 but I love it and I've decided to treat myself to something small once a month now.

I started and finished 4 DIY jobs today. The things-to-do list is getting shorter.

freshasthebrightbluesky · 06/05/2019 21:05

Learned to crochet and made a few pieces

Lost 5lb

Won a competition and judged another for the 1st time, commenting on each entry with constructive criticism. Harder than it looks!

frankie001 · 06/05/2019 21:37

Finished my 6 weeks notice in a job I was growing to hate. Starting in my old job tomorrow, and despite a very early start I’m excited!

PodgeBod · 06/05/2019 21:46

Mine's a bit silly but I finally learned how to French plait AND I'm getting good at eyeliner

Orchidoptic · 06/05/2019 21:47

Started a new crochet blanket. Put up a picture of me in my Graduation robes to remind myself that I CAN do it, whatever it happens to be.

Bezalelle · 06/05/2019 21:53

Ran a 10k race!

Timeforatincture · 06/05/2019 21:56

Climbed Bow Fell. Couple of years ago I was 5 stone heavier and conked out half way up The Band.

Also, started week 5 of c25k. Sarah Millican very encouraging.

chocolateaddiction · 06/05/2019 21:58

Feeling and being positive and optimistic for a change.
Resisted a few desserts and left over Easter eggs resulting in 0.5 lb weight loss (it's a start!)

OnMyWhistle · 06/05/2019 22:03

I laid a patio at my allotment so we have a little somewhere to sit (and drink 🍷) it’s a bit wonky and crap but I don’t care! 😁

bodgersmash · 06/05/2019 22:13

I got through my exDP moving out without too many tears and managed to support my son through it too.

Son turned to me yesterday and said "I think this won't be all bad as I can tell you're still going to be great friends."

That made me proud.

Imleavingonajetplane · 06/05/2019 22:16

I made a list for the first time in ages and got through most of it!

MoodLighting · 06/05/2019 22:21

I've had the kids all week (holidays and sick days) and still managed to meet my work deadlines.

Miraculous!

topcat2014 · 06/05/2019 22:33

We have been matched with a 7 year old boy waiting for adoption!

happypotamus · 06/05/2019 22:36

Survived without crying:
going back to work after 2 weeks off, 2 night shifts, taking my DC to art club despite being incredibly unartistic and tired, a night helping at guide camp looking after other people's children in a cold wet field.
All of this on very little. I added up how much sleep I got over the week and I had missed the equivalent of 2 night's worth of sleep.
Some days my greatest achievement is 'I didn't cry.'

Juststopit · 06/05/2019 22:37

Ah topcat that just made me feel so happy!

Minniemousejammies · 06/05/2019 22:38

Did loads more exercise than normal (normal amount is none) but since Monday have done 5 separate sessions Grin

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 06/05/2019 22:39

Big - started back at work for the first time since DH died

Small - did a watercolour painting for the first time ever and am very pleased with it. It's not skilled by any stretch of the imagination, but you can tell what it is easily.

TreacherousPissFlap · 07/05/2019 00:27

Have potentially ended my marriage, so quite a big thing really.

Also have an empty ironing basket (should have ended my marriage sooner Grin)
