@SleepingStandingUp yip, clothes can be fun too. My son owns at present

A che Guevara too (designer and I vote Tory)
A "Lock up your Daughters no sugar added branded one (the others are shoddy)
A Kayne (anti social, social club) hoody
Cool Story now go make me a sandwich top (another designer)

It's fun, trendy and edgy and makes people smile! If he's playing at a chess tournament or something I know someone could complain so they're not laid out for him those days.

queenscot · 20/04/2019 15:34

Sorry it's Cool story babe now go make me a sandwich, look them up quite popular

Oh nearly forget " i feel like pablo" t shirt, they're quite in a the moment too!

queenscot · 20/04/2019 15:39

@NottonightJosepheen He has a good sense of humour!

queenscot · 20/04/2019 15:41

Just to add I would never allow him to the dentists or shopping with those types of top but they're fine for holidays or camps!

EtonianMother · 20/04/2019 15:43

@longestlurkerever I've never heard of said joggers, and it's independent schools all the way here. If they wear them at all, they're whatever happens to be around (Asda, Primark, whatever). However, @queenscot, my DD does have one of those antisocial club hoodies (£3 in a charity shop, so I didn't object).

clothes can be fun too

As long as they're not from a supermarket hey?!

SarahTancredi · 20/04/2019 16:03

The dreaded supermarket clothing...

Do your kids come out in a rash if they wear some?

SleepingStandingUp · 20/04/2019 16:06

@queenscot but it isn't his idea of fun is it? It's your attempt to make him cooler and edgeier. He isn't cool or edgy, he's a chess geek. So probably super smart and amazing in HIS own way that isn't about walking around with misogynistic slogans. You know sexism isn't actually cool right? . It's like you ordered a dolly from the shop and it wasn't good enough so you're upgrading it.

SleepingStandingUp · 20/04/2019 16:08

Just to add I would never allow him to the dentists or shopping with those types of top but they're fine for holidays or camps! if it's too offensive for SHOPPING why would it be OK at camp or holiday??

tigerbear · 20/04/2019 16:14

Character/Disney stuff
Crop tops
Slogan stuff

MidnightBlue00 · 20/04/2019 16:17

Anything overly sexualised, otherwise whatever they like

SleepingStandingUp · 20/04/2019 16:21

I loved my crop tops when I was younger, it's just stomach.

bellsbuss · 20/04/2019 16:37

Character clothing and jogging bottoms.

queenscot · 20/04/2019 16:42

@SleepingStandingUp you sound so grown up and sensible. Holiday and camps where I am unlikely to see our neighbours or my clients as they might think like you!

MidnightBlue00 · 20/04/2019 16:42

@Zoflorabore
yep,same
I wonder how the person saying joggers must be Canterbury (then sommat about private school gym kit) would feel if she saw the young men doing their community service clearing some land in our village were always in Canterbury jogger.Seems to be quite the in thing

JacquesHammer · 20/04/2019 16:47

It's fun, trendy and edgy and makes people smile!

Except it isn’t edgy in the slightest Confused

NotSoThinLizzy · 20/04/2019 16:55

Thay horrible baby vest that says "daddies little squirt" complete with cartoon sperm urgh 🤢

queenscot · 20/04/2019 17:02

@midnightblue. How do you know it ai t some posh dork doing a duke of Edinburgh award? Bit of an assumption there!

MidnightBlue00 · 20/04/2019 17:10

@hazeyjane
Practically a uniform in my community.Very practical

cricketmum84 · 20/04/2019 17:48

@NotSoThinLizzy please please tell me you just made that up and it doesn't actually exist??

NerrSnerr · 20/04/2019 17:51

@queenscot The people doing community service in our area wear high vis jackets that say 'community payback' on them, there's no mistaking what they're doing.
