... ruined I tell you!

Anyone elses kids decided to get ill this weekend?
My youngest has only gone and got chickenpox.

I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend as i usually work a 50 hour week. But no.
The 3 year old just had to spoil it.
Selfish little sod.

Chicken pox is indeed a horrendous virus. My DCs both had it 4 years ago. I caught it off them, for the 2nd time, was very ill with it and then got labyrinthitis for 2 weeks straight off the back of it. A doctor had to come to my house to treat me as I coukdnt drive or walk up the road. Drunk for 2 weeks.

As a result of both aggressive infections I developed ME which I'm really unwell with and am considering ending my career because of the ME. It's a horrific illness. I can't do anything. Feels like flu forever.

Get well soon everyone. Flowers

Ear infection here. A bank holiday tradition in this house.

OP I felt the same as you when my DCs got chicken pox. DD couldn't perform in her dance show and it was really frustrating and disappointing staying indoors all Easter.

Little did I know I would end up so poorly though. I literally never go for days out now because I collapse if I walk any distance. I 100% believe the chicken pox triggered my ME. There's no cure or treatment.
