Good luck, Meghan!

Just wishing the lovely Duchess of Cambridge all the best with her labour. I can’t imagine how it must be - I was irked enough with my lively MIL phoning to see if I had any twinges. Can’t imagine what it must be like with the worlds press awaiting news. Hope it goes well and it won’t be long before your darling baby is in your arms. And, oh, if s/he has arrived already - you’ve played a blinder doing it on your terms!
And Harry, don’t faint!

It's not that funny. Think some people need to get out more Hmm

WorraLiberty · 15/04/2019 22:43

Poor Meghan's mum.

You've NC'd so you don't make yourself look like a twat but dragged her name into it?

Pompello · 15/04/2019 22:44

Well it makes a change from all the threads blaming Meghan for everything from the Great Fire of London in 1666, the outbreak of Spanish flu in 1918, and the death of Paul Daniels (2016).

Interested in this thread?

Hmm
TheClaifeCrier · 15/04/2019 22:48

Wow you lot are a bunch of misery buckets.

I thought you were being quite sweet OP. It's a nice change to see a thread on here about her that isn't filled with racist undertones.

ssd · 15/04/2019 22:54

Racist undertones my arse, people don't like the royal family due to their enormously privileged life they didn't work for or deserve, bugger all to do with anything else.

brizzlemint · 15/04/2019 22:58

Bllimey, the Duchess of Cambridge kept that one quiet. Is she the surrogate for Meghan?

NoughtpercentAPR · 15/04/2019 22:59

Well if she has given birth and was planing to wait til tomorrow to announce it, she's been upstaged by a burning cathedral. Given the way she always looks for a camera and appears to crave publicity, I don't expect we'll be hearing an annoucement until there is a bit of room on the front pages.

Just my opinion and colour me cynical

TheInvestigator · 15/04/2019 23:00

I wouldnt care if an alien joined the Royal family. She's a woman having a baby... That's it. We have thousands of those everyday. Of course no one wishes her bad luck, but do we need gushing threads wishing her good luck when we don't do that sort of thing for anyone else we don't personally know?

And yes, they live a privileged life simply because they were born into it... or managed to marry into it. If we want to keep the royals then the perks and financial support from the taxpayer should be stripped right down to the direct line of succession and cut the others out. Meghan and Harry and their future children don't have anything to do with the throne, and in a few generations their descendents will be far flung relatives of the reigning monarch. They don't need a song and dance made over them.

LittlePaintBox · 15/04/2019 23:04

Oh come on, correcting someone for mixing up their duchesses by saying she's the success of Sussex was a little bit funny.

JaneEyre07 · 15/04/2019 23:05

I think she had it weeks ago.

TheInvestigator · 15/04/2019 23:07

@LittlePaintBox

In my defence, that was an autocorrect (which it did again when I tried to correct my mistake in my second post!). The mixing up of Cambridge/Sussex wasn't autocorrect.

LilQueenie · 15/04/2019 23:08

I suspect you are somehow hoping she will read this Confused

SoupDragon · 15/04/2019 23:12

(in case she happens to be browsing t’internet)...

Oh dear god

Richmond1972 · 15/04/2019 23:15

i cant wait for the baby. new emma bridgewater mug coming my way and DH cant whinge because im being patriotic like he is when he spends the summer in the pub watching the world cup

Klopptimist · 15/04/2019 23:29

I'll be frank, I don't give a shit about the impending arrival but it IS refreshing to read something nice about MM for a change.

marylou1977 · 15/04/2019 23:33

Queen Doria, you sound like a nice person. I also wish Meghan well, an easy labor, and a healthy baby. I would wish this for any woman about to give birth. Really don’t understand the snarkiness.

VladmirsPoutine · 15/04/2019 23:35

Well this is new.

LordPickle · 15/04/2019 23:38

Wtf is this thread? Confused

WoWsers16 · 15/04/2019 23:38

Yes- crazy as I doubt anyone had actually given birth before so she is really breaking the boundaries.
I am sure all the nannies and money she gets will really make the first few months hard for her.

QueenDoria · 15/04/2019 23:41

Thanks, Marylou... I guess I’m just excited for a bit of good news... and reminiscing about that special time waiting for a new baby... I didn’t know it would be so controversial to do so...

Aw for goodness sake. Smile a little for a first time mum you lot.

Badtasteflump · 15/04/2019 23:49

She doesn’t need our luck so i’ll reserve it for all the women in the world giving birth without the a team of top midwives and doctors on hand.

notsosureaboutthatthough · 15/04/2019 23:50

Wow what a bunch of twunts on here

NaturatintGoldenChestnut · 15/04/2019 23:53

Aw for goodness sake. Smile a little for a first time mum you lot.

Eh? Is this like one of those 'Cheer up, luv, it might never happen' insulting twaddle epiphets gits like to throw out at people because they want them to behave according to their standards?

What Badtaste said.

I'm excited about hearing a bit of good news, too, the fire in Notre Dame is under control. Hope the firefighter who was injured makes a full recovery, he definitely needs some luck!
