We’ve been to the following on holiday as a family;
Cornwall
Lake District
Northumberland
London (short breaks)
South & Mid Wales

Many of these destinations are due to having family connections in these places so we've combined a holiday with meeting up with family.

Aviemore
Plockton
Western Isles
North West Highlands

Cornwall every year because my DH is from there so we get to see his family and our 5DC get to see they're Grandparents,we do love Cornwall as a place as well though.

Weymouth,I went from when I was tiny with my DMum and DDad.

Birmingham,my DH also has family there.

We've also gone to Great Yarmouth and Weston Super Mare before.

This year were going to Cornwall,Weymouth and Birmingham.

Elllicam · 05/04/2019 18:02

Aviemore/Cairngorms, Crieff hydro, centre parcs.

Chocolate35 · 05/04/2019 18:03

Great Yarmouth. I used to be a caravan snob and ended up going to one every year in Yarmouth. By far the most child friendly beautiful place I’ve been. Low crime rates and plenty of open space (I’m a Londoner before anyone asks who the hell checks crime rates before going away).

Puffinhead · 05/04/2019 18:06

Another vote for Weymouth. Beautiful beach, lovely countryside, lots to do. Plus fish n chips and cream teas.

kaytee87 · 05/04/2019 18:06

North Norfolk was amazing when we went last August for a week. So much to do and lovely beaches.

Oh and Crieff hydro, it's only an hour from us so we tend just to do a long weekend once a year.

lanbro · 05/04/2019 18:08

Did Scotland several times, Wales, Centre Parcs then realised it's not much more to go abroad and now only have the odd weekend away in the UK

We love Whitby and Wells next the sea.

Ellapaella · 05/04/2019 18:15

North Devon (our teens love surfing)
Lake District
We take our camper van up the Northumberland coast regularly throughout the summer
North Yorkshire is another of our favourites - we used to live there and love going back to visit the moors, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay etc. My Teen DS loves the nostalgia of going back to his childhood haunts.
My family and childhood friends live in the Cotswolds so go back there to visit quite often as well and the kids love it, we love walking in the Cotswolds - picnics and lazy days.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 05/04/2019 18:17

The north coast of NI because it's beautiful and my parents live there. However I looked into having a short stay in Aviemore and a last minute deal abroad for longer was only marginally more expensive. I think it's really expensive to holiday in the UK.

beenhereages1 · 05/04/2019 18:20

North Wales is fantastic! We also love dorset, Devon and Cornwall
