Hi everyone, long time poster, name changed for reasons that will soon become obvious..
Something happened to me years ago that has bothered me ever since because I've tried googling the scenario and nothing ever came up.
Also this is extremely embarrassing but I was young and learning, so no judgey people please
When I was 18 I went on a typical girls holiday abroad, think Magaluf, Kavos, that sort of thing.
Third night in had lots of cocktails and shots and meet a lovely Albanian barman and things went from there as one could imagine..
When we went to, ahem, do the deed, the man put his penis in me and then it was in out in out twice until he said "oh my god there's blood". I look down and there is blood literally running down my legs onto the floor. I remember there being puddles of blood on the floor and showering not stopping it etc. Long long long story short I ended up in hospital in a foreign country with five stitches in my vagina!
I have never heard of anything like this in my life, and haven't managed to find anyone who's been in a similar situation. It was one of those things where my mates and I never spoke of it again but it did really mentally scar me and made me afraid of sex for a long time.
I wasn't a virgin at the time but wasn't exactly a sexpert either.
Think I'm just wondering if anyone has ever heard of anyone having a similar experience? I surely can't be the only one.

Well I think the same could've happened with someone who wasn't a stranger in the UK so don't really see how that's the moral of the story.
The doctors didn't speak a lot of English they just kept saying it was a "trauma".

It's not thst I'd didn't work, perhaps he nicked you inside with a fingernail and then as he penetrated you the cut worsened.

The alcohol might have stopped your blood coagulating, making a small injury bleed a lot?

Well I thought maybe the alcohol will have made there be more blood, but there still mustve been quite a cut for five stitches to be needed.
Maybe there was a small cut and lack of lube made it tear?
I'm just posting because even though it sounds pathetic I've thought there's something wrong with me ever since as I've never heard of it happening to another person

The sex didn't hurt but wow the stitches did, and after stitching me up the doctor inserted a tampon into me and I screamed the place down. Crossing my legs just thinking about it!!

Something like this happens in the novel the Bell Jar which is autobiographical. I don't know what it is, but that makes me think it is a thing! Though in the book, the doctor she goes to says it's very rare.

A vaginal injury needing five stitches suggests something fairly horrific happened. I don't understand how you know it was five stitches but not what caused such an injury.

I was on a bed with my legs up in stirrups and the reason I know how many stitches is because I asked! I was also given some antibiotics in case an infection started (don't know whether they were just trying to rinse my insurance though) and told not to have sex for a month.
I know it sounds unlikely but this really did happen to me and the reactions of disbelief are why I've never really told anyone all these years.

I am aware of this happening, but I just wanted to see if anyone had heard of a similar thing happening to anybody else because I've felt like a freak of a woman for so long.
