I'm just finishing my cup of tea then going to get dressed.

The girls are off to town for a Mother's Day gift with their dad so I have a few hours to myself. I plan to nip to Asda to see if they have the unicorn Smarties Easter egg in stock (never thought to buy it when dd2 saw it & she keeps mentioning it), iron school shirts and make a banana loaf.

Roast chicken for tea later on then some reading with dd2.

What about you lot? Anyone up to anything exciting?

I am going to nip out to aldi and have a coffee next door in my favourite coffee shop.
Have all housework and uniforms etc done.
We might go to NI property later on.

MadisonAvenue · 24/03/2019 08:58

Doing a load of washing and cleaning the house this morning, quick lunch and then off into town for a bit of shopping and a coffee. Tonight I need to finish packing as we’re going to Prague tomorrow. I also need to make a to do list for our (adult) children, mainly about when and what to feed the dog!

TeaforTwoBiscuitOrThree · 24/03/2019 08:58

Planting seeds for bees and butterflies, do washing, bake a cake and finish reading my book, help DD with homework and get her bag ready for swimming tomorrow.

ASauvignonADay · 24/03/2019 09:00

Tea in bed, will watch Sunday Brunch and eat leftover curry from last night for breakfast 😈
Then off to the shops for some presents, then a food shop, then back to prep for the week ahead and have a chilled Sunday evening.

I am just lying here feeling sad. A few years on a morning like this we’d have packed a picnic and taken my little girls out for some amazing adventure.
Now they are teenagers; my youngest will sleep till noon and the eldest is getting ready for some tryst in town, to which I will have to transport her.
I feel like those adventure days were some of the happiest of my life, just the 4 of us!
Now they are gone Sad!

LesLavandes · 24/03/2019 09:04

I'm in Italy and stressing out as Easyjet has just cancelled my flight home tomorrow..... sigh

Ragwort · 24/03/2019 09:06

I am having a rare lie in, I don’t usually like lie ins but I am on holiday (without DH & DS Grin) in a relative’s house & it is so comfortable just doing nothing with no expectations about housework/cooking etc. I might get up & go for a walk as it’s lovely & sunny.

AguerosAngel · 24/03/2019 09:09

Ironing school shirts and cajoling DS to do some revision for his English exam tomorrow. This afternoon I’ll pop out for a sunbed then off to MILs for a big roast dinner.

This evening I’ll do my Spanish homework for my class tomorrow.

SweetPeaPods · 24/03/2019 09:10

Bit of a lazy morning here after a bad night with ds1 then ds2 woke up unusually early.
Debating whether to go to local cafe for brunch or the nearby NT for a walk.

HundredMilesAnHour · 24/03/2019 09:12

Off to the gym at 10am for an hour of HIIT (makes me feel sick just thinking about it but I'll feel great when it's over). Then straight to the park to the farmer's market there. There's an amazing cake stall there so all the calories I burnt off at the gym will be quickly be replaced. Wink Then a walk round the park (won't allow myself to leave until I've done 10km), stopping off to feed the squirrels and maybe grab a coffee. After that, head home for feet up and some chill time catching up on emails and TV. A lovely quiet day!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/03/2019 09:16

I’m in Wales with DS for the weekend. Need to pack up the caravan and decide what we’re doing for the day. I’m thinking farm park.

We’ll probably go swimming in the afternoon, do the kids disco and then drive the hour home. Hopefully DS will sleep in the car and I can just transfer him. Maybe not though as he’s still asleep now. I’ve been up since 5:30 am with my niece Hmm

I am going to force my lazy three into clothes and take them to the country park nearby. Based on the sour looks I’m getting this is torture but they will love it when we’re actually there (honest!)
If i can be bothered I may got to Tesco and get food for a roast dinner.
Just got to peel them off the Velcro seat and get them moving...

thefirst48 · 24/03/2019 09:29

Trying to get all my jobs done this morning and going to do some gardening. Really need to cut the grass then a lazy afternoon.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 24/03/2019 09:30

@Tattersail - best wishes to you all!
It's migraine weather so I got up and kept moving at 6:25 to avoid additional triggers. I prepared some more seeds to plant, cuddled the cat, who was more interested in the pigeon (pigeon ignored him as ususal) and listend to music.
DS is still in bed, DD prepares for her examns and DH is working - deadline as usual.

truebeliever · 24/03/2019 09:34

I've started cleaning and now regretting it! Need to finish and shower before taking the DC and their GPs out for a carvery.

Then I'm making brownies as a reward for my bf when he returns from his 20(!) Mile run 😁

jmh740 · 24/03/2019 09:37

I'm still in bed, ds is on the Xbox dd is at a sleep over I need to pick her up at 12ish give her lunch then take her to drama club, hopefully my eldest is coming over for tea. Need to do washing ironing etc in between and might make a cake.

weekendsleep · 24/03/2019 09:40

I have a crap cold and slept awfully.
Probably go for a walk later but not much else I think.

Annoys me as I usually love Sundays and go for a drive, long dog walk and get some Starbucks for lunch!

JudgeRulesNutterButter · 24/03/2019 09:42

Meh. I’d like us all to be out at the allotment as it looks a gorgeous day out there. But I’m coughing every time I move. DS is under the weather so I’m not sure he’ll be up for it either. DD won’t want to go without him.

So... DH will get to go to the allotment and I’ll be at home feeling crap and entertaining the DC.

Natsku · 24/03/2019 09:47

Circus school for DD today which means I do the weekly shop while she's there. Unfortunately it coincides with DS's nap time so I'm trying out only one nap for him today - wish me luck!

DD isn't home from her sleepover yet, OH has gone off to do work things, DS is napping, the cat is napping, think I might watch some telly in peace now.

AragonsGirl · 24/03/2019 09:49

Going to take kids out into the garden to play while I get husband to help me tidy up plants, playhouse etc. Oldest has a party this afternoon, and husband has been told he is taking her as I’ve done every other party she’s been to! So I’ll have a quiet couple of hours at home (hoping the youngest will have a nap!), then I’m making roast chicken and a self saucing Black Forest pudding for dinner!

Mumshappy · 24/03/2019 09:53

They had shelves full of the unicorn smarties egg in my asda on friday OP. Im taking ds11months to his dads for the afternoon about 11 then we are for jazz and tap exams for dd8. Going to go and see my gran in her care home after those. Shes failing terribly. Then it home to a pile of ironing that i should have done yesterday but chose to ignore.

HelmutFrontbut · 24/03/2019 09:53

Finalising plans for my trip to Budapest on Tuesday! So excited! Should really be doing a whole lot of housework but it's a bank holiday tomorrow where I live so catching up on 24 Hours in Police Custody instead Blush Planning to meet my friend later for a glass of wine 🍷

Eminybob · 24/03/2019 09:55

DH is just cooking us breakfast then we are off to a local NT place where they are having a Percy the Park Keeper trail. DS is a massive fan having done the books at school.
We were planning to squeeze in a family swim at the leisure centre but not sure I can be bothered.
Cottage pie for tea later.

buzzbobbly · 24/03/2019 09:56

Already been out and done the quiet gardening, and now kicking heels waiting till I can reasonably get the lawn mower out.

By kicking heels I obviously mean studiously avoiding the other inside admin-y jobs in my to-do list.
