Mine was along the line of 'WIBU to start moisturising my baby so she doesn't get wrinkles' ... I assume it was lighthearted Grin

OP posts:

I remember one where the bride decided not to go through with it and was sitting in the hotel room wondering how to tell everyone? It was about 3 years ago? That sounds like it Fenella. I wonder what I could search to find it again?

outpinked · 25/03/2019 12:16

I think it was one about wearing shoes indoors and someone was suggesting providing house slippers for guests.

glasshouse · 25/03/2019 12:34

Cannot remember how long ago now but was something about a child's toy shaped like a strawberry that was lost and the OP was looking to replace it. The community spirit shown with everyone posting about strawberry toys was phenomenal. Been lurking ever since.

Re a bride deciding not to go through with her wedding, I do remember a thread from a couple of years ago started by a MOH who had been told by the bride that she wasn't going through with the wedding, on the morning. MOH was panicking about what to do to help.

FenellaMaxwell · 25/03/2019 13:27

That’s the one, @SimonitesSocks - think the bride buggered off to NYC leaving the bride to cancel things and tell everyone?

FenellaMaxwell · 25/03/2019 13:29

Somebody asking if it would be OK to name their baby Apricot*

*"No" was the unanimous response.

DeadBod · 25/03/2019 13:35

A thread about how we were brought up as children that wouldn't be allowed in modern times. It was a great nostalgic thread with many posters obviously the same age as me judging by thier stories. It was about 10 years ago.

SugarHockeyIcedTea · 25/03/2019 13:38

Mines was about Grobag and her family, when her poor DH passed away. It was the first time I'd read anything on MN and I had a wee sob when she posted that he'd died.

I think of her and her family often and wish them all the best wishes in the world

Nameusernameuser · 25/03/2019 13:41

about a user called Hannah, who's mother in law had taken her baby, along with her DP and would not return that tiny newborn. The police wouldn't do anything as her DP was on the birth certificate. I think she eventually got the baby back but i often think about her and wonder how she is doing.

Spookydollshouse · 25/03/2019 13:44

It was a post about the MM adverts which were being shown in the trailers for Shrek I believe.
I know DD who is about to leave school was not yet at school so she must have been around 3/4.

Spookydollshouse · 25/03/2019 13:48

My favourite thread however is the lady who wanted to let her son take his super soaker water gun thing to someone else's birthday party and wouldn't take no for an answer when everyone told her no it was not okay.

EEELA · 25/03/2019 13:49

It was something about relationships between step parents and step children. I only joined recently, but have been reading the step parenting and AIBU boards for years.

troubleswillbeoutofsight · 25/03/2019 13:53

I don't think that's the one I was remembering Fenella. The one I can't recall properly was, I'm sure, written by the bride to be and I think she or her fiancé cancelled the wedding. She was sitting in a travelodge or something similar

changingeverything2019 · 25/03/2019 13:57

Mine was about how Justin/Mr Tumble was something of a love god IRL.

JaniceBattersby · 25/03/2019 14:04

Mine was about a woman who was leaving an abusive relationship. Think either the poster or the thread was called ValentineBombshell. Must have been about eight years ago. I often wonder what happened to her.

TeenTimesTwo · 25/03/2019 14:11

The thread that got me hooked was MrsDevere's (?) gymbalow thread where the neighbours had built a 'gym' in their back garden but then had people living in it.

DeadWife · 25/03/2019 14:17

Really can't remember exactly but it must have been miscarriage-related as that's what got me desperately googling in the early hours.

ColeHawlins · 25/03/2019 14:24

Gordon Brown refusing to commit to a favourite biscuit Smile

SimonitesSocks · 25/03/2019 14:55

That's the thread I remember, Fenella!

saniner · 25/03/2019 15:49

Your minge. Howling for days Smile

Still18atheart · 25/03/2019 15:50

howsojoe I remember that thread

Still18atheart · 25/03/2019 15:51

One which sticks out for me as one I remember from when I was first on here was the post about the yoni masseuse from Hull

ColeHawlins · 25/03/2019 16:12

I wonder what happened to old Brian? Smile
