Tell Me One Positive Thing About Your Day

Feeling a bit low & in pain today so please cheer me up by telling me one positive thing that has happened to you today 🙂

I'm sat in a piping hot ,bath ,checking MN with a vodka ,Pepsi Max & lots of ice !

My boiler has been broken & we finally had it fixed today .
It's been a rough ride the last 18 months & I like to hide out out in the bath ,I've missed it so much

Oh and more importantly,lots of Mumsnetters helped with a petition that's very close to my heart ♥️

Ds is snuggled up beside me in bed. He had a tough day at school and I was able to make it better by just giving him some TLC and cuddles. He’s snoring beside me now and I just keep thinking how lucky I am to be his mum ❤️

@HelenaJustina I know! I was so happy. Unexpected chocolate tastes so much better than normal chocolate.

I was training new staff this week and got a box of chocs from the person we thought would be hardest to work with.

My cat gave me lovely purring cuddles.

Got my holiday flights booked cheaper than I’d thought.

I got lots of nice clothes for DS2 from a friend who was clearing out her youngest's stuff. Some of them belonged to a second friend before that - it's nice to see stuff being passed around and reused :)

Found strawberries on yellow sticker so I bought them.
Once home picked rhubarb from the garden and now I have 5 jars of Strawbarb jam

DH and I went out for lunch together. Second time in 7 months!

My grandmother freind, called me in a panic to tell me she won't be able to go the dentist, thinking it was her daughter she called. Luckly I was able to take her to her appointment. She was very happy and suprised for the mistake. Dh had a day off so he did the afternoon school run instead of me (the daughter was at work so would have been unable to take her).

I fell over-long overdue, I fall over quite disastrously rather regularly-but have not done the usual huge damage. Nasty graze on elbow, but I can walk!

I’m an NQT in KS2.
This morning, a child from my class brought me a daffodil to school.
His Mum said he asked if he could bring one from home for me.
They’re my favourite flower - a symbol of hope to come in the spring.
One of the other teachers said I should be honoured, he’s never ever done anything like that before in school

Had to pop out on an errand earlier this evening, and the sight of the full moon rising over the horizon was awe-inspiring.

I had some really positive feedback from my Yr 7 dd's teachers at her first grammar school parents eve .

Found 20p in the street. "Any day you find free money is a good day!"

I've had a brilliant day work wise. 1 project is finally done after many months of worrying even though it didn't need to be done until April. Another we have finally signed off for something that should have been done 12 months ago but I only started 2weeks ago and I still got it done.

My LO blew a kiss for the first time today when saying bye to grandma!!

2yr old DS has a cold and was up loads last night, BUT... this means that DH got up with him this morning and let me have a proper long guilt free lie in. It also meant the DS went back on his recent decision to drop his naps and napped for 2 whole hours after lunch admittedly mostly on me as I could hold him more upright but that was 2 hours of snuggles on the sofa watching what I wanted on the tv!

After popping to the post office DH picked me up a packet of sweets I'd asked for and despite a very bad description he got the right ones!

Hmm, I'm going to look into growing onions I think, once the snow has cleared.

Positive stuff :

Both kids ate their homemade macaroni cheese for tea, DS had two platefuls!

I only bought one thing today, a coffee

I accepted a task at work that I dont like doing with total grace and they don't even realise I hate doing it which makes me look professional and like a good employee.

I swam for nearly an hour and felt great afterwards. The weather was lovely when I left the pool.
Got a cheque for £175 in the post!
Sadly have eaten a little more than my allotted 800 Cals but it's not disastrous.
All in all, a good day.

My garden is a riot of daffodils and the sun was out all day. I watched a very confident seagull enter a charity shop, have a walk round, and then nonchalantly depart again. So much self-possession. It made me smile. Some bottles of liquor I’d ordered arrived from France and I mixed a cocktail I really like that tasted as good as one I would drink in a bar.

Gotna super earnest lick/kiss off one of my ddogs just now as I was reading the OP, put me in touch with, oh how sweet and happy/kind.

Despite having been really poorly yesterday, I managed to clean my bathroom.

Tastes salty, slimy, bit like egg white, and theres the metallic tang of blood in there too. I wont think about meconium
