I've prepared a shepherd's pie and a trifle for later so that I can binge watch tv until I need to turn the oven on.
What are you having? A roast or something different?

I'm welsh and like most of the nation have a hangover. So at 2pm am having a full Sunday dinner for 4 being delivered for a total of £20. Winner winner cooked pork dinner!!

cookiemonster3 · 17/03/2019 13:14

Lasagne here too. Made it this morning so just need to stick it in the oven for an hour. Used my new pressure king pro for the mince which cut my prep time from nearly 3 hours down to 1. I love that thing lol

Tessywoooooo · 17/03/2019 13:19

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 17/03/2019 13:22

Brioche eggy bread with bacon and maple syrup for lunch. Chilli and jacket potato’s for tea. Dc are all at their dads and dh is at work so just me and dog at home! Going to throw some tracky bottoms and a big jumper on and binge on GOT.

OddCat · 17/03/2019 13:23

@Insomnibrat he turned up and now I wish he hadn't !

EmmaGrundyForPM · 17/03/2019 13:26

Dh is out all day so we are eating this evening. I'm doing miso-basted roast cod with wasabi, roasted broccoli and rice.

HelmutFrontbut · 17/03/2019 13:41

OddCat ooh tell us more Shock

GimmeBread · 17/03/2019 13:42

Lasagne and sweet potato fries

Peridot1 · 17/03/2019 13:55

dustarr - I do like to push the boat out for special occasions! Grin. But ended up at an M&S Simply Food and they don’t do Viennetta Shock so we have Magnums instead! Was going to buy an Apple pie but they had no custard, cream OR ice cream.

QuestionableMouse · 17/03/2019 13:56

I've just had gammon with pineapple and potato waffles. Not something I'd normally cook but it was lovely.

scandilover · 17/03/2019 13:58

Fillet steak with dauphinois potatoes and veg

Pudding is salted caramel profiteroles from M&S

ProfessorofPerspective · 17/03/2019 13:58

Full roast chicken. Then baked cheesecake topped with passion fruit curd.

AlbertWinestein · 17/03/2019 14:02

It’s only 10am here and I’m still lazing around in bed, so currently absolutely no idea.

What is Mumsnet Mash please?

Bloodybridget · 17/03/2019 14:09

Just heard that DP's son is bringing his GF to supper - we have never met her so this is significant - and she is vegan. What a shame we didn't know an hour earlier before we did the shopping! So we will be piecing together suitable food from whatever we have. Think DP and I will still have the roasted stuffed sardines we'd planned on, too.

HelmutFrontbut · 17/03/2019 14:10

Albert it's mashed potatoes but you leave the skins on, I only recently learnt on here that you can do that! It's the first time I've tried it so was a bit sceptical but it works; the skins just break up. I added seasoning, garlic, wholegrain mustard, horseradish sauce and fresh coriander 😋😋😋

mamaduckbone · 17/03/2019 14:16

Roast beef, yorkies and veg. A pudding might be nice but it depends if anyone can be bothered to make it. There's ice cream in the freezer if not.

Been out at rugby and football all morning so it won't be until tonight - we had beans on toast for lunch!

BlackPrism · 17/03/2019 14:34

DP is at work so I just had a ham sandwich :(

dustarr73 · 17/03/2019 14:35

Spicy chips, chicken wings and spare ribs.

cricketmum84 · 17/03/2019 14:37

Roast chicken, Yorkshire puds, stuffing, potatoes, roasted carrots, cauli cheese and braised red cabbage. Cannot wait! Even though I'm on ww so can't have the potatoes, stuffing or Yorkshire pudding. Sad times.

confusedofengland · 17/03/2019 14:39

Toad in the hole, mash, gravy, sugar snap peas & carrots. Twas yummySmile

catenthusiast · 17/03/2019 14:41

DH is making a roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings - potatoes, stuffing, lots of veg and cauliflower cheese Grin might see if I can convince him to do yorkshire puds as well...

toomuchfaster · 17/03/2019 14:57

We've had pasta with Bolognese sauce. I wanted a carvery but couldn't convince DH and neither of us wanted to cook a roast.
