I feel upset, sick and cheated by Leaving Neverland

Persimmonn · 13/03/2019 10:30

I was one of those people who kept saying the men are out to make money. That there’s no evidence etc. But I finally watched the documentary yesterday and it’s hurt me a lot. I feel like I was lied to my whole life. I know it sounds so melodramatic and selfish but MJ was my idol growing up. I remember being 7 years old and dancing and singing his songs.

Now I feel sick to the core. If Wade Robson and James Safechuck are lying, then they’re incredibly good liars.

MJ was a paedophile.

@NorthernRunner "one was thrown out by the judge who said the trouble is you have changed your story so many times I can no longer believe you."
Absolutely false. Firstly no judge has thrown his case out on the basis he 'changed his story'. They were both thrown out only due to a technicality - Statutue of Limitations had passed. Not for any other reason. No judge has ever said what you said. And he changed his story twice. Not 'so many' times.

@10IAR "As a parent it is incomprehensible to me, the primary purpose of a parent is to protect their child, at all costs. Not to sell them to a beast."

You are looking at it with the benefit of hindsight. The parents DID NOT KNOW he was a beast. They were groomed by him as well. It isn't like they thought he was a paedo and decided to throw their children at him! They didn't know. All this blaming the parents is very sick imo. The blame lies at the feet of Jackson. No one else. The parents were as much victims as the boys were.

Palominoo · 13/03/2019 18:42

Utter rubbish! The parents saw soar signs and were enamoured by the generous gifts their children were given.

By today's standards would you let your child have a sleepover at Ed Sheerin's or Bruno Mars? Of course you wouldn't and it was no different back then.

Greedy parents who allowed their child to stay alon with a clearly disfunctional man.

Palominoo · 13/03/2019 18:43

Soar means dollar

10IAR · 13/03/2019 18:44

The parents DID NOT KNOW he was a beast

I'd believe that if they hadn't benefitted enormously financially off the back of his access to their children. Who made the allegations and then retracted them.

JazKish · 13/03/2019 18:47

In my opinion Michael Is 100% innocent,if the FBI who investigated him for many years couldn't find anything then he is innocent until proven guilty, this is a trial by media a one sided interview with two broke guys would not do anything for money, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
A counter documentary to show the facts will made soon,at least then you will hear the other side.

From TJ Jackson's account

If you walked into a court trial and only heard 4 hrs of the prosecution and had to leave without hearing one word from the defense and decide someone’s fate...of course you would declare guilty! It’s unfair. It’s unethical and it’s dangerous. That’s the movie #LeavingNeverland.

SpogTheDog · 13/03/2019 18:51

The FBI did not investigate him for a decade as the fans keep claiming. They provided some assistance when requested by California Law enforcement Agencies. From the FBI site "Between 1993 and 1994 and separately between 2004 and 2005, Jackson was investigated by California law enforcement agencies for possible child molestation. He was acquitted of all such charges. The FBI provided technical and investigative assistance to these agencies during the cases"

GreenTulips · 13/03/2019 18:51

JazKish

Oh give over

Patroclus · 13/03/2019 18:52

Can always tell the crazies cos they think theyre on first name terms with him.

LunafortJest · 13/03/2019 18:54

Again, they did not know at the time. It wasn't til much after the parents had benefited financially, that the first accusations even came out. As the timeline shows, they didn't know at the time!

DuffBeer · 13/03/2019 18:55

I had a row on FB with a bunch of simpletons who were defending MJ.

Some of their 'justifications' would have been laughable if it weren't so fucking insulting to the victims.

teyem · 13/03/2019 18:58

I do think, at this point, the question "Do you think MJ is innocent?" should be a asked to all people offering services on sites like childcare.com so you can filter out the kind of willfully stupid abuse-deniers who make for shitty safe-guarders.

sagradafamiliar · 13/03/2019 19:00

He really was untouchable and he knew it. That interview linked above where he was laughing and looking out the window disinterestedly...the arrogance. The arrogance of having child 'porn' and other evidence in his house, not even caring that if anything should happen to him, it would eventually be discovered. He had enough money and enough fan loyalty to not be overly concerned by any of it.

LunafortJest · 13/03/2019 19:01

@JazKish

  1. The FBI didn't investigate him. The police did. And they found naked pictures of boys at his ranch, they found books written by NAMBLA.
  2. Men don't make this shit up.
  3. Of course it is one-sided, it is the men's story! it is their truth!
  4. They aren't broke. Wade in particular has writing credits with Britney Spears and Nsync, so he'd be getting a lot in residuals/royalties.
  5. They didn't get paid a cent for the documentary, so all claims 'its for money' are duly proven null and void.
  6. The facts have already been shown.
  7. The Jackson family have a vested interest in maintaining the investments of the Jackson estate, so of course TJ Jackson will put on a good show of calling the truth lies. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and like the Jackson family, he is as determined to cover up the truth to keep benefiting from the Jackson estate. Wake up!!! Jackson is 100% guilty, and if you actually saw the documentary, you'd know that!
LunafortJest · 13/03/2019 19:02

@GreenTulips What does 'give over' mean?

DuchessOfPhysics · 13/03/2019 19:03

Is the documentary on netflix? I couldn't see it. I'm just wondering if everybody who saw it went to the cinema to see it?! Confused

sagradafamiliar · 13/03/2019 19:04

It was on Channel 4.

DuffBeer · 13/03/2019 19:05

Iboogie- Both men did NOT testify in his defence as adults. Wade did, James refused (as did his parents) despite being hounded by Jackson.

MadgeMak · 13/03/2019 19:08

Anyone who still doesn't believe MJ was a paedophile is as thick as pig shit.

cosmonautkitten · 13/03/2019 19:08

Jaz I can assure you that I have 'heard the other side'. Like many other people on this thread I was deeply affected by Leaving Neverland but heard it was controversial and decided to do my own research. I've spent a lot longer at this point reading arguments that claim to prove his innocence but still 100% believe he was a paedophile.

Unfortunately Michael Jackson fans do like to regurgitate their own factually incorrect or irrelevant statements as proof and I can see how people would start to believe these - eg my earlier post regarding the court cases and the common lie that the FBI investigated MJ for 10 years and found nothing.

But when you start talking about money - this is just typical ridiculous victim blaming and you should be fully ashamed of yourself. Who do you think financially benefits from Michael being seen as innocent? It's the Jackson family - so blindly believing Taj and Brandi when they clearly have a financial stake is pure ignorance.

Fairylea · 13/03/2019 19:08

Anyone who wants to see it and hasn’t - if you download the All 4 app for channel 4 both parts are on there.

JazKish · 13/03/2019 19:26

@LunafortJest
It has always been about money – millions of dollars — dating back to 2013 when both Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who share the same law firm, launched their unsuccessful claims against Michael’s Estate.
Between 1993 and 1994 and separately between 2004 and 2005, Jackson was investigated by California law enforcement agencies for possible child molestation. He was acquitted of all such charges. The FBI provided technical and investigative assistance to these agencies during the cases. The Bureau also investigated threats made against Mr. Jackson and others by an individual who was later imprisoned for these crimes. These investigations occurred between 1992 and 2005.
This information is easily found on line.
And if you do a little digging you'll know where those books came from, and if you are 100% sure he is guilty then may I ask if you were there with Michael?

Patroclus · 13/03/2019 19:35

You said 'In my opinion Michael Is 100% innocent'. Jaz, so were you there?

Rystall · 13/03/2019 19:39

Any poster who responds to another’s view with DFOD / give over / must be thick as pig shit has not only lost the argument but their own credibility too. On both sides.

inthedistanceIsee · 13/03/2019 19:40

DId the parents know that Micheal Jackson was sharing a bed with their children?
