I feel upset, sick and cheated by Leaving Neverland

I was one of those people who kept saying the men are out to make money. That there’s no evidence etc. But I finally watched the documentary yesterday and it’s hurt me a lot. I feel like I was lied to my whole life. I know it sounds so melodramatic and selfish but MJ was my idol growing up. I remember being 7 years old and dancing and singing his songs.

Now I feel sick to the core. If Wade Robson and James Safechuck are lying, then they’re incredibly good liars.

MJ was a paedophile.

His kids didn't want sleepovers. He did.

Several witness testimonies from staff, young boys and visitors to Neverland have reported that there were "alarm" systems rigged onto doors to alert those inside that someone was nearby.

Incidentally it was behind those doors that MJ invited young boys to share a bed with him out of sight of others.

I literally cannot think of one single reason that someone would go to these lengths aside from the obvious.

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 10:27

He also had a terrible drug problem drips were also put in him for his fix. Lisa Marie Presley begged him to get treatment he must have been that bad. What killed him in the end was drugs. That might explain the alarm systems. He wanted to cover up how bad his addiction was.

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 11:20

A teacher in my child's school who teaches 6 and 7 years olds keeps posting shite on Facebook defending him and his "innocence". Seriously thinking of emailing the head to say she needs safeguarding training around grooming.

You don't have to read and it could look like stalking. You don't want to behave in an irrational way with the teachers. You don't want to bring attention to you or your children. Mumsnet will tolerate your blabbering but no one else will. Cool yourself.

GunpowderGelatine · 06/04/2019 12:16

@tombbraider she is on my friends list, it's not stalking if she's sharing 🙄 and I think it's a huge safeguarding concern don't you? Also, don't be dumb, he had alarms to alert people when he was abusing boys, nothing to do with drugs

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 12:18

Don't be stalky and obsessive. A slave to social media get a life.

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 12:23

Everyone is entitled to there opinion you cant bully people to make them think like you. Grow up.

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 12:29

All this emotion over Michael Jackson where you have to call people you don't know names. Don't bully people.

How your children feeling today. Have you noticed them and are they okay.

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 06/04/2019 12:43

Since when was reading friends posts on social media "stalky and obsessive", surely they put it out there to be read by people and perhaps even open s discussion about it?

That is afterall, what we are doing isn't it?

Discussing a TV show and sharing our opinions, it's all speculation because none of us were there and none of us knew MJ well enough to gather any real knowledge of him other than what was shared in the media by people who choose to speak about him.

I do understand the upset/denial/disbelief from serious fans because none of like to imagine anyone we look up to being an arsehole let alone a paedophile, but I also think that after repeated allegations despite how those kids and their families were treated by those around MJ and his adoring fans (death threats FFS!) we need to start looking at where they come from.

Even if he was innocent of physical sexual abuse he had a seriously strange interest in children which was facilitated rather than dealt with.

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 12:47

Thick, Dumb, pot kettle well is that how you talk to each other. Is this the only place you can let your hair down. Where you can swear.

Sad

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 06/04/2019 12:50

Interesting how @tombbraider seems to share the same posting style and conmon spelling error as another rather obsessive and goady poster who has gone quiet...

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 12:54

A friend doesn't go behind there back and email the head teacher. Why don't she talk to her herself if they're friends is she not a reasonable person. She is making herself sound horrible.

I want a healthy debate she wants to make the thread trashy with her insults.

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 06/04/2019 12:59

In your own wise words.

"You don't have to read it" and I would add that you definitely don't need to respond to it!

Fwiw, I agree that e-mailing school would be an over reaction and if it bothered/worried me I would discuss it with the friend.

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 13:16

NotMyUsualTopBilling I spoke about the law yesterday. If I'm wrong then fine educate me but don't call me thick because I don't agree with you.

She sounds aggressive and horrible.

Are you ok ccm, I mean tomb? Are you posting on the right thread? None of your grammatically incorrect waffle is making sense. And I'm not sure if you understand social media but looking at my news feed that people willingly put things on doesn't constitute stalking. HTH. And my children are taught by this person and I have safeguarding concerns. I'm not the type to forgo my children's safety for fear of being impolite.

The kids are great thanks. They're being raised by someone who doesn't think that just because someone is powerful or good at their job that means they can't be abusive. They're also being raised by someone who fully understands the impact of grooming. Tell me, how are your kids? I hope they never get abused and have to tell you you seem the type to look for holes to pick in victims' stories?

dragonflyinn10 · 06/04/2019 13:46

When did it get so personal on here there are some sensible posts when does an opinion become fact honestly some of you step out of the playground and continue like grown adults fgs

tombbraider · 06/04/2019 13:49

ccmrob12 I'm so sorry she thinks it you who sent them I know how to create a shit storm. I will leave and never return.

GunpowderGelatine I'm sorry I thought you was trying to insult me. I should be the one to grow up. I'm sitting here laughing and my kids are looking at me like I lost the plot.

This mumsnet bollocks is hard to navigate and to emotional. I rather talk to people face to face so much easier. Have a lovely day.

SpamChaudFroid · 06/04/2019 14:12

I'm sitting here laughing and my kids are looking at me like I lost the plot Really?! Hmm Grin

GunpowderGelatine · 06/04/2019 14:21

ConfusedOk hun

Sagradafamiliar · 06/04/2019 14:44

Yikes 😂

ccmrob12 · 06/04/2019 22:45

@NotMyUsualTopBilling @GunpowderGelatine

You two are delusional and paranoid....you both seem like perfectly grounded people (not!)

GunpowderGelatine · 06/04/2019 22:56

Meh. Better to be paranoid than to be a defender of pedophiles I guess

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 06/04/2019 23:05

Meh, I've been called worse.

There seems to be a playground theme flowing through posts from those who believe he is innocent. There is absolutely no discussion going on, just childlike name calling and repetitive answers. I envision a petulant child with their fingers in ears screaming "lalalala" to avoid hearing anything that goes against their own thoughts.

I've yet to see a compelling argument.

Although feel free to point out my "delusional and paranoid" posts because I can't seem to find them?!

ccmrob12 · 06/04/2019 23:48

"Interesting how @tombbraider seems to share the same posting style and conmon spelling error as another rather obsessive and goady poster who has gone quiet..."

You will find the name calling has come only one way. I've had nothing but abuse for daring to disagree and try to point out the holes in these two's stories.

Suddenly that goes from attacking all victims of abuse that ever came forward. Not the same thing at all.

The second anyone shows me new evidence that MJ was a pedophile, then I will take back what I have said. Until then, stop with the name calling, it's getting boring now.

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 06/04/2019 23:50

I wasn't referring to you in that post but heyho.
