I feel upset, sick and cheated by Leaving Neverland

I was one of those people who kept saying the men are out to make money. That there’s no evidence etc. But I finally watched the documentary yesterday and it’s hurt me a lot. I feel like I was lied to my whole life. I know it sounds so melodramatic and selfish but MJ was my idol growing up. I remember being 7 years old and dancing and singing his songs.

Now I feel sick to the core. If Wade Robson and James Safechuck are lying, then they’re incredibly good liars.

MJ was a paedophile.

Why do you keep saying 'you've been triggered', 'you've been triggered by such an emotive subject'? It's incredibly patronising and passive aggressive. You can't speak for other people. Another poster said they are not triggered and neither am I. You can't keep repeating things and hoping they will become true.
The 'holes' in the two boys' stories can easily be explained- there are multiple simple explanations.
The fact that frightened, abused children testified (I don't think James did actually?) because of a sense of loyalty to their abuser says exactly that: they were under his spell. How can a child groomed from such a young age even have a concept that their 'relationship' was wrong until much older anyway? You could see even as men, James and Wade are still struggling with it.
Not everyone was convinced by Wade's testimony anyway, you would know this if you looked into it.

Never been an a professional performer? How did he meet MJ? It was in the documentary. He was a child actor. Wade also did some projects and was in films but they flopped.

I didn’t realise the UK got a different version to the US. It was apparently edited in relation to timelines and factual errors in the original.

I'm not sure how anyone could've watched the documentary and not seen two utterly broken/abused men.

They are both professional actors/performers that was their job. They have now convinced people that what they are now saying is the truth.

There is a documentary on Youtube from years ago, it was made a year or two after the Bashir one, it tells the story of two boys, one is mentioned by name.

The accounts are the same as from leaving Neverland.

You are talking three years, not dates. It's not like getting a month or day wrong. How many more lies do you want to make excuses for? Simple fact is, some don't want to know if was guilty or not, they have made their mind up.

Dan Reed said he double checked and triple checked for any inaccuracies. I guess he didn't check his facts enough before giving these lies a platform. There is a reason they waited to so long to come out with these stories, they cannot be done for slander. They know they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I think they could both come out and admit they were lying and there would be people willing to make excuses for them.

You're having a bet each way, if the stories add up, it's because they read others' testimony. If there are any details wrong (and victims usually forget a lot of details as they block it out - I could not remember every detail or date of my abuse) it's because they're lying. James was present at Neverland before and after the train station was built. In fact he took photos of the completed station which we included in the doc. I was mainly shocked to realise how effective and large scale his grooming was. How he managed to build this persona that allowed him to groom young boys in plain sight. How so many of us fell for it. And how many others are there who are doing the same to us now.
