😱 can't believe it. Prodigy were one of my favourite bands growing up. Police say it's not suspicious. We should not jump to conclusions. But another legend of the music industry.
R.I.P

Saw them three weeks ago in Auckland in what turned out to be Keith's last ever performance. It was amazing.

Madness. So sad

My brothers and their friends used to do a lot rallying / biking and Keith was at Elvington a few times during track day racing.

The nicest, really quiet and softly spoken bloke and a few times he would be at race meets and tinkering with bikes / bobbing in and out the cabin for a brew and check boards.

Genuinely nice chap and in his scruffs and longer loose hair he looked good too Smile

Very sad to hear this news. My older brother was a big hardcore raver in the 90s so I was introduced to the Prodigy at a young age!

Isn’t it sad that you don’t learn much about someone until they have died. I had no idea that he was such a lovely man, that he was a horse enthusiast and that he owned a country pub. RIP Keith

@Igottastartthinkingbee Totally agree with you, he sounded a really really decent man. He scared me shitless in the Prodigy videos!!

He also ran a successful bike team at the IOM TT races and was a total gentleman in the paddock at the grandstand. Such sad news.

A lot of people have been sharing the James Blunt tweets about how a lot of ‘cool’ music celebs were incredibly and unnecessarily rude to him, as some sort of ‘i’m too cool to be associated with such an act’ and Keith Flint came over and gave him a hug and congratulated him on his musical success. Seems like he was a nice guy with a warm heart.

AliceAforethought · 05/03/2019 15:42

Yes, keep hearing about how lovely he was. Wonder if he knew how appreciated he was.
So sad.

Also just read that he had started doing Parkrun (volunteer-run free 5k races that happen all over the UK every Saturday morning). He posted a PB of 21mins on Saturday. Just shows that appearances mean so little, you never know what’s really going on in someone’s mind.

panicatthebistro · 05/03/2019 16:00

So sad.

RIP.

EntirelyAnonymised · 05/03/2019 16:04

21 mins!

I know, a great time! Well done Keith.
