😱 can't believe it. Prodigy were one of my favourite bands growing up. Police say it's not suspicious. We should not jump to conclusions. But another legend of the music industry.

Palominoo, it isn’t reported that he died by suicide, is it? He may have done but he could also have died by other causes, heart attack after years of drug and alcohol abuse (even if he was clean now, I don’t if he was), drug overdose, brain haemorrhage, or a thousand and one other causes that regular non rock n roll celebs die of every week.

Way too young.

Gutted.

Saw them at Glastonbury in 1997 and again 2009.

Gutted. So glad I got to see them some years ago but I didn't get chance to on their last tour . Great band and I know some people who knew him, apparently he was lovely

The reports I'm seeing don't suggest suicide, just that it's not suspicious.

It's still sad, however you look at it.

I'm not ready for the generation who made my youth to start dying.

First band I ever saw, pretty much by accident. (Thanks Gemma from school!).

I loved every second of it, even though my 13 year old self had little to no idea what was going on. Had a very large Keith Flint poster on my wall for the rest of my teenage years. I bloody loved that man, and he was the inspiration for many of my teenage style choices, dye-jobs, and mix tapes.

Liam Howlett's saying it was suicide on instagram. So sad.

Gutted, still my fave band and still listened to their musiccevery day in my car, Experience was an iconic album as far as I'm concerned. Such a nice man as well. Rip Keith. Gone way too soon.

In a post on The Prodigy's official Instagram account, bandmate Liam added: "I can't believe I'm saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend.

"I'm shell-shocked, angry, confused and heart broken."

Very sad news. Saw them a few times back in the 90s - amazing live band. RIP Keith

It was suicide. I don't need to say how I knew.

Very sad as he has stood at the edge of the abyss before but managed to turn back. Sadly this time he couldn't, or it was too late and he couldn't be saved.

Gutted. Love their music. Saw them last year.

A couple of other artists from my youth died unexpectedly recently and was saying to DH that I feel old now that our generation of musicians are dying. They were about 10/15 years older than me. Keith was the same age as me though.

Poor guy.

Palominoo, if you do know that as fact, you shouldn’t be posting it on a public forum. I don’t know if you are his next of kin, i’m going to assume not as you are on a forum on the day he died, but you should not be relseasing sensitive, confidential information like that.

I have brilliant memories of watching the The Prodigy at various venues. Massive shame.

His band mate has confirmed suicide on instagram but other media outlets are waiting until the official verdict presumably out of sensitivity and respect for the family.
Either way it is a untimely and tragic death.

If a band member has posted it on Instagram, and is quoted by the BBC then it's already in the public domain.
