The nicest sound in the world

There's a thread for us misophonia sufferers on the most irritating sound in the world. Let's try and cheer ourselves up, what's the nicest sound?

I love the sound of rain
Thunder
Michael Jackson acapella
The clip clop when a horse is walking

BifsWif · 24/02/2019 11:32

I love listening to rain
The waves breaking
My children laughing, corny but that’s my favourite!
Bacon sizzling.

icelollycraving · 24/02/2019 11:33

Champagne cork popping.

TheQueef · 24/02/2019 11:34

I love the vigorous bubbling of a boiling kettle. It really relaxes me.

Meet0nTheledge · 24/02/2019 11:34

Waves on a shingle beach.
Birds singing at dusk.
Chickens clucking.
Cats purring.

NCKitten · 24/02/2019 11:35

My baby laughing. He's not very good at it yet, but it's so cute!Smile

LinoleumBlownapart · 24/02/2019 11:38

Rain is amazing, thunder too
The sound of laughter of anyone
I love listening to children playing and chatting away in their play
The sea
Rustling leaves
The ping of the oven when you've cooked something great
The uncorking of wine and the glug of it going into the glass.

Mostly corny stuff

LinoleumBlownapart · 24/02/2019 11:39

And the crunch of snow when you walk on it

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 24/02/2019 11:46

Quiet house when the dc are all asleep.
Owls at night when camping..

AlexaShutUp · 24/02/2019 11:48

Happy baby noises. Smile

GMtoBe · 24/02/2019 11:50

My daughter laughing
Wine being poured into a glass
Waves on the beach
Lawn mowers
Frank sinatra singing
Brass bands at Christmas
Grated cheese falling on a plate from the grater

CallMeSirShotsFired · 24/02/2019 11:50

Birds in the trees when everything else is silent.

The sound of my bike tyres on the road at dawn on a summer's morning (you can add horses/sheep/cows/pigs etc from the neighbouring fields too).

The contented sigh my cat makes when she settles in for a long sleep next to me.

Aebj · 24/02/2019 11:52

Omg I’m the bad person😂😂😂
I like the sound of:
The first glass of wine poured

I also like
My babies first cry and laugh
Waves at the beach
Crickets 🦗 ( feels like summer)
Rain
Storms

TheArtfulScreamer1 · 24/02/2019 12:16

Hopefully in around 3 weeks time I'll be hearing a new born have it's first cry which after 5 years TTC and a round of IVF will be music to my ears and will probably be closely followed by the sound of my own happy tears.

Youmadorwhat · 24/02/2019 12:22

Children playing in s schoolyard!!

Justgivemesomepeace · 24/02/2019 12:23

First cries of a newborn baby.

SomeDayPerhaps · 24/02/2019 12:39

How could I have forgotten the sound of the waves on the sea! Gorgeous sound ♥️

Thisnamechanger · 24/02/2019 12:40

Glug glug glug of red wine being poured!

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 24/02/2019 12:42

I like the silence of a snowy day. Does that count?
And a happy cat purring.

Crinkle77 · 24/02/2019 12:45

I love the sound of someone writing with a pen on a hard surface. It's called ASMR and it just makes me feel all tingly and nice.

dreamyflower · 24/02/2019 12:46

A baby laughing, crackle of a fire, birds tweeting, trickling streams, cat purring, ebay sound when you've won a bid or sold something!

BikeRunSki · 24/02/2019 12:46

Babies laughing
Mountain streams
Waves on s shingle beach

Weetabixandshreddies · 24/02/2019 12:47

Children laughing - now that mine are grown up I love hearing children laughing when I am out and about, or neighbours children laughing in the garden.

SuperPixie247 · 24/02/2019 12:57

Right now? Pure silence!

How I long not to hear the washing machine going or the cat on my case or anything else!

Crazycrazylady · 24/02/2019 13:00

Ds rugby team singing Ireland's call ( rugby anthem) with his pals at the end of training in a group huddle. They are 5 and tiny and it warms my heart every time.

Insomnibrat · 24/02/2019 13:02

The (sadly now retired) Avro Vulcan engine.

Wind chimes (sorry)

Dropping a marble into a ceramic sink.

Wood pigeons

A fully inflated beach ball bouncing.

Laughter.
