Or have I but they’re just too ashamed to admit it?

It’s funny how you all know so many racists, & quite intimately too

They're relatives and friends of relatives.

KennDodd · 24/02/2019 08:34

Oh, and they would never describe themselves as racist or their views as racist, even straight after saying properly hateful stuff about immigrants, they just think their right.

longwayoff · 24/02/2019 08:36

Well, its not funny surfer, not remotely. I would guess that having the covers pulled back from previously agreeable family and neighbours to display such rancid underbellies is pretty unpleasant. Depends on your sense of humour I suppose.

DippyAvocado · 24/02/2019 08:37

Quite Kenn. All the leavers are know are exactly the type to start a sentence "I'm not racist but....", followed by something completely racist.

bellinisurge · 24/02/2019 08:41

@surferjet , until the referendum most people kept their grim views to themselves. Brexit vote gave them licence to say stuff they know is unacceptable.

JQBased · 24/02/2019 08:42

I have yet to meet a remainer who isnt emotionally unhinged and absolutely venomous against leavers, regardless for their reasons to leave. Oh well. Good thing its all a total con, like everything in politics.

bellinisurge · 24/02/2019 08:45

@JQBased Hi. I'm a Remainer prepared to accept WA. Is that emotionally unhinged enough for you?

JQBased · 24/02/2019 08:46

All this “leavers are racist” rubbish...Even if they are, do you ever think why? I live on a South London council estate, I can go through some of the reasons why people could have unfavourable opinions if it helps. As most people on here are very close minded, there is little point.

bellinisurge · 24/02/2019 08:50

@JQBased , it's no longer about Leave/Remain, it's about Leave/WA. Which side are you on?

surferjet · 24/02/2019 08:51

Well, your racist friends & relatives are truly blessed having you in their lives, showing them the error of their ways and steering them onto the path of righteousness.
I’m sure they value your feedback immensely.

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 24/02/2019 08:55

Why would you be friends with such awful and racist Leavers then! Maybe your friends who quietly voted Leave are too afraid to ell you lest they be subject to your smug and self righteous lectures

bellinisurge · 24/02/2019 08:57

So, nobody answering then. Still trotting out referendum arguments.
I think you are also for WA, @surferjet , despite our differences. Any other Leave voters for WA or do you prefer to go on about how mean Remainers like me are?

surferjet · 24/02/2019 09:01

What are your views on people who think homosexuality is a sin punishable by death?
A grim view? or just an acceptable religious / cultural belief?

bellinisurge · 24/02/2019 09:03

I despise it. Obviously.

JacquesHammer · 24/02/2019 09:13

Even if they are, do you ever think why

Yes. In the case of the two leavers I know who are very open in their reasons, they’re utterly thick.

longwayoff · 24/02/2019 09:16

Leavers, why so belligerent? You believe you're on the "winning side" and should be full of joy. Very odd behaviour.

bellinisurge · 24/02/2019 09:24

@surferjet why on earth would I consider the murder of homosexuals to be an acceptable cultural practice because I voted Remain. That's idiotic.

surferjet · 24/02/2019 09:24

Might be something to do with remainers attitude to us?
But in RL things are very different - no one I know mentions brexit, I have no idea how my neighbors, extended family, or most of my work colleagues voted because it’s none of my business!

It’s only online these arguments happen.

( we’re having a party on March 29th btw Grin )

JacquesHammer · 24/02/2019 09:26

no one I know mentions brexit

One of aforementioned twats (who I know via volunteering, so not an appropriate relationship for in depth discussion) used to sit in meetings and randomly say “just don’t get me started on Brexit”. She used to get incredibly irritated when I used to respond “I won’t” Grin

surferjet · 24/02/2019 09:28

bellinisurge

I was picking you up on your ‘grim views’ post. You said these views got worse after the referendum result. I’m assuming you meant leavers having these views?
I’m making you aware that certain sections of our communities hold ‘grim views’ every day of the week. What are you doing about that?

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 24/02/2019 09:33

A leaving the EU party?!

Ooh, can I come?!

bellinisurge · 24/02/2019 09:33

I shun anyone who holds those views. I'm half Jewish so those twats shun me as well.

Parker231 · 24/02/2019 09:34

My major issue with leaver voters isn’t now how they voted but that they just continue to state that we’re better outside the EU but have no answer to the major issues such as the GFA and how to manage supply chain in the event of a no deal.

longwayoff · 24/02/2019 09:49

Agree parker, that's why they're irritating, lots of noise, lots of my brexit's bigger than your nexit, but nothing of substance other than we love Jacob Rees Mogg who will lead us to the promised land. Impressive.

pusspuss9 · 24/02/2019 10:00

, until the referendum most people kept their grim views to themselves. Brexit vote gave them licence to say stuff they know is unacceptable.

This should be a lesson in that when people have concerns about something whether valid or not, then let it be discussed and debated instead of villifying them. Open discussion prevents issues going underground and growing like weeds.
