Fancy cheese on toast for lunch, what can I top it with to make it extra delicious?

Lea & Perrins (not Hendersons, it is too watery).

Tomatoes.

Once it is bubbling and ready to eat, creamy coleslaw.

heidipi · 16/02/2019 23:52

@chesntoots Sheff, obviously!

Don't you hate these threads where the OP doesn't come back and update. Bet she had omlette instead, the big tease.

Although this response was probably the most helpful for a thread that quite clearly involves the OP loving their cheese

Nothing cheese is disgusting

HmmGrin

"Nothing, cheese is disgusting"

Wash your fucking mouth out, you heathen.

Marmalade. Is awesome.

Jux · 17/02/2019 01:29

Banana under the cheese, or bacon and maple syrup on top.

cricketmum84 · 17/02/2019 01:56

Late to the party but try a little drizzle of marmite next time

boatyardblues · 17/02/2019 08:03

Pleased to see I’m not alone in recommending kimchi. Smile

DerelictWreck · 17/02/2019 08:22

Oooo Henderson's relish or bacon jam.

Thanks OP. Guess I'm off the the shops for bread and cheese now!

ZenNudist · 17/02/2019 08:24

Either lea & perrins or tabasco

NoWordForFluffy · 17/02/2019 08:25

My homemade chilli jam. It's got a bit of 🔥🔥 to it, but not uncomfortably so.

Or, in your case, a shop-bought alternative!

PurpleDaisies · 17/02/2019 08:28

Which recipe do you use notsofluffy? I love chilli jam but have never made it.

PurpleDaisies · 17/02/2019 08:29

Sorry, I appear to have totally made up your username!

borntobequiet · 17/02/2019 08:31

I don’t think anyone’s suggested a sprinkling of MDMA yet.

Shookethtothecore · 17/02/2019 08:35

Welsh rarebit-
Grate cheese and mix with mayo and a bit of mustard, salt and pepper and a dash of Worcester sauce
Grill
Mind-blown

NoWordForFluffy · 17/02/2019 08:43

This one @PurpleDaisies. We grow our own chillies, so mix one or two 🌶🔥🌶🔥🌶🔥 ones, with mild ones to give a kick (i.e. a Scotch Bonnet or something of that Scoville ilk).

NoWordForFluffy · 17/02/2019 08:45

Oh, and I've used both the cooking apple and crab apple pectin method. They're both fine. It's so easy to do!

What goes on top of cheese on toast that will blow my mind?
PurpleDaisies · 17/02/2019 08:46

Brilliant-thanks!

GunpowderGelatine · 17/02/2019 11:07

Cheese and toast with leeks challenge complete (and AMAZING). Chilli jam next. I'll probably die at 40 due to all the cholesterol but I think it may be worth it 😋
