What goes on top of cheese on toast that will blow my mind?

Fancy cheese on toast for lunch, what can I top it with to make it extra delicious?

Jalapeños always!

Nice ham under the cheese

Mango chutney

Beans on top of the gorgeous grilled cheese

Beans and fried mushrooms under the cheese, brown sauce on top (brown sauce must be added before cheese is grilled).

We sprinkle paprika on ours.

Jalapenos
Sliced cherry tomatoes
Spring onion
Chutney

Individually or any combination thereof.

Oh yes, fried mushrooms also a good call.

cut vine cherry tomatoes in half ontop but put them on so the skin bit is under the grill....wow!

More cheese!

Strong pickled onions
Sweet chilli sauce

Or as PP said Welsh rarbit but it should have a splash of stout in it too.

Or grate cheese very finely chopped a bit of tomatoe/ peppers / onion / mushroom / cooked meat add a beaten egg and spread on toast , grill till well browned .

Green tabasco

Definitely sweet chilli sauce! Or even better, sweet chilli jam if you can find it.

Caramelised onion chutney, Aldi German meatballs sliced, cheese on top.

Caramelised red onion chutney.

Red cabbage or coleslaw on top of the cheese

Nutmeg and banana

Marmite on top of the cheese. It gets a lovely crispy taste.

2nd the kimchi offering too

Ham underneath the cheese, lime pickle on top.
Or
Pesto spread on before grilling.

The layers are
Toast - brown, knobbly
Baked beans - lava hot
Full covering of cheese - grilled and browned

Eat cautiously. Enjoy.

Anchovies, black olives and sun-dried tomatoes.

Lea perrins.
Brown sauce.
Fried onions and ketchup
