Friends- the one with free porn

When friends was first shown in the UK they didn't show this episode. But so many key plot lines happen in this episode- phoebe finds out she's having triplets, and Ross goes after Emily, tells her he loves her, and she says 'thanks'.

So how did they do that then??!

I'm currently watching it, and can't remember. Did they just edit out the free porn bits, or was there an entirely separate episode where they reiterated these key things?

I loved the early days of Friends! Back when you genuinely didn’t know where the storyline was going. The excitement of Ross and Rachel’s first kiss (before Ross became the dysfunctional boyfriend) and the surprise of Monica and Chandler sleeping together. And having to wait a week for the next episode!

They showed it back in the day when friends was on on a Friday night on channel 4 and you had to wait a week to find out what happened next.

Given that it was on post-watershed originally and now anyone can and does watch it on E4, are there many bits cut out? Because a lot of Friends is basically about sex and adult (well, 20-something adult) relationships. I’m not sure I’d let my 11 year old watch it. My 19yo niece watches it and does not spot any of the things that make me go

I was 14 in 1994 and as the decade went on Friends because must see TV. I remember not going to the pub until it had finished.

I also remember the porn episode. Maybe they are edited for pre watershed viewing.

The porn episode was on Comedy Central yesterday...middle of the day.

I can easily waste whole days watching Friends!

I turned 30 around the time the original run was ending. We went to Mexico for my 30th and there was tons of American tv to watch and they were ahead of us (the final episode aired in the US whilst we were there) - we spent a lot of time trying to make sure we didn't inadvertently watch new episodes

I remember watching it the first time round. In my head it was ER on Wednesday night and Friends on Friday night. Sex and The City was later? Yes?

I'd like to say I was a teenager then. I wasn't. I was much older.
