Because I have trouble picking just one! If I have to, I'd say mine is Whisper by Evanescence. Yes it's depressing but I think of it as my happy song. Smile

Judas it’s a very under appreciated album imo, it’s great!

NannyKasey · 09/02/2019 17:26

My 3 faves, - Spirit of Radio by Rush
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen (wanted to call DS Freddie but was vetoed by (now ex)DH - I was pregnant with him when Freddie died)
In The End by the Black Veil Brides (I have a seriously inappropriate thing about the lead singer of this band given that he's 28 and I'm 54 and old enough to be his mother) Grin Grin

Accountant222 · 09/02/2019 17:53

Do I love you - Frank Wilson

Dancing round handbags when I was young.

It was one of my friends funeral songs, so now I think of Jill when I hear it.

Emzmum · 09/02/2019 17:56

Singularity by V/Tae-hyung from BTS. Even though I don't understand a word of it as its in Korean, its such a beautiful soulful song.

Villageidiots · 09/02/2019 18:01

You're the best thing...Style Council
The Power of Love FGTH

Both remind me of my husband.

Gstaaddad · 09/02/2019 18:13

Old and Wise - The Alan Parsons Project

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/02/2019 18:16

The song that still makes me feel joyful is (hangs head) is Cuddly Toy (I feel for you) by Roachford.

I’ll get my coat...

Frainbreeze · 09/02/2019 18:21

You want me to pick one? Just one? Can do five, or ten, more likely ten, but not one :( Would you want me to add all ten to your playlist @CoperCabana ?

hippoherostandinghere · 09/02/2019 18:45

So, so many:
Read my mind - Killers
How to save a life - The Fray
Losing my Religion - REM
American Pie- Don McClean
Vincent - Don McLean
Piano Man - Billy Joel
Michael Buble - Lost
Don't look back in anger - Oasis

thebabysmellsofpooagain · 09/02/2019 18:54

@holidayarmadillo2019 - that is a fantastic shout!

@Villageidiots - Style Council is always a winner. I love Paul Weller's voice

Toto - Africa

MamaDane · 09/02/2019 18:57

I don't have one favourite song, it all depends on the day and mood, but a couple of my favourites;

'Let It Happen' by Tame Impala (love most of their songs really)

'Lavinia' by The Veils or alternatively 'Citadel' if I'm feeling depressed

'Stella Was A Diver And She Was Always Down' by Interpol

'Waltz Me To The Grave' by Kimbra

'Edit The Sad Parts' by Modest Mouse

'Heartworms' by The Shins (I rotate with all of their songs, atm it's this one)

CoperCabana · 09/02/2019 19:21

@Frainbreeze please feel free to add your songs!

labazsisgoingmad · 09/02/2019 19:30

Olive - You're not alone

CoperCabana · 09/02/2019 19:44

Up to date I think with everything I can find.

Added Breathe Me by Sia. I think this is really a very good song.

thebabysmellsofpooagain · 09/02/2019 19:44

Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl

RomanyQueen1 · 09/02/2019 19:47

I don't have a favourite as like so much.
At the moment am liking "Do Your Tang" basement Jaxx.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/02/2019 19:55

Venus in furs by velvet underground is my absolutely favourite song

Ooooo yes - I forgot that one!!

Also:

Through the Barricades -Spandau Ballet
Mr Tambourine Man - The Byrds
Suzanne - Leonard Cohen
Summertime (Gershwin) - Ella Fitzgerald
What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong

MyGastIsFlabbered · 09/02/2019 20:06

Bliss by Muse. Had me mesmerised the first time I heard it and nothing else has ever come close

ShowOfHands · 09/02/2019 20:10

I mostly love obscure folk but if I dared to do karaoke I'd sing Back 2 Good by Matchbox Twenty.

CheerioHunter · 09/02/2019 20:15

Some excellent choices so far, especially Underworld - Cowgirl and a bit of Fleetwood Mac!

Mines The Verve - Lucky Man

EastMidsGPs · 09/02/2019 20:28

Ok, have been pondering this today and have decided I cannot limited myself to just the songs I have already stated. Cannot decide how I decide my definition of absolute favourite! So here's a couple more or so that either make me need to get up and dance or simply make me happy inside.

Relax FGTH ( although their version of Born To Run comes close second choice)

Don't Leave Me This Way Comunards

Let's Go Crazy Prince

And because this became important to us when DH worked away for 6 months

Set The Fire To The Third Bar Snow Patrol

SilverySurfer · 09/02/2019 20:41

Who Wants to Live Forever by Queen. I'm going to have it at my funeral.

DoctorTwo · 09/02/2019 20:51

@thebabysmellsofpooagain I love their choice! :o I'd like to be carried in to Concierto D'Aranjuez played by Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band.

@Jinglejanglefish I understand why it's your favourite song, but the remix changes it for the angrier.

@LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD nowt wrong with Cuddly Toy. Roachford is a blues god.

Mrsmadevans · 09/02/2019 21:13

You saw the whole of the moon
