Because I have trouble picking just one! If I have to, I'd say mine is Whisper by Evanescence. Yes it's depressing but I think of it as my happy song. Smile

Design for Life - Manic Street Preachers
Time - Mary J Blige
Ugly - Bubba Spatz

thebabysmellsofpooagain · 09/02/2019 08:07

That should say Bubba Sparxx! 😂🤦‍♀️

Hazlenutpie · 09/02/2019 08:07

Eleanor Rigby

Not an absolute absolute favourite but one in my head this morning.
I was never really a Michael Jackson fan, but this song, from the intro and straight into the first bars always gas my dancing ...

Don't Stop Til You Get Enough

(We should next have a thread of favourite intros and twiddly bits in the middle and ends of songs - beginning of When Doves Cry anyone?)

EastMidsGPs · 09/02/2019 08:17

Has me dancing

thebabysmellsofpooagain · 09/02/2019 08:20

Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing
Michael Jackson - Beat it

thebabysmellsofpooagain · 09/02/2019 08:21

CJsGoldfish · 09/02/2019 08:36

There's a Kind of Hush - Herman's Hermits
Free Fallin' - Tom Petty
Push - Matchbox Twenty

Poppet1974 · 09/02/2019 08:44

Erotic City Prince...

ManicUnicorn · 09/02/2019 10:19

A few more:

Are We Human - The Killers
Mr Brightside - The Killers
Going Underground - The Jam
A Hard Days Night - The Beatles

I love the fact that there are some really cheesy songs on here.

Mewe · 09/02/2019 10:41

To name a few:

Still Ill - The Smiths
Shadowplay - Joy Division
Helter Skelter - The Beatles

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 09/02/2019 11:01

Something - The Beatles

George Harrison sums up what falling in love is about perfectly

SiliconHeaven · 09/02/2019 11:35

I can’t see the playlist, any tips?

morningconstitutional2017 · 09/02/2019 14:13

It's difficult to pick just one but it would have to be Adele singing Someone Like You. Just her and the piano - haunting.

DoctorTwo · 09/02/2019 15:31

Earlier today I was thinking about what I'd like played as I glide feet first through the curtains at the crem and the last minute of Jizzlobber by Faith No More is my ultimate choice.

Fast forward to 5.30 for the finest fanfare ever in the history of rock.

Also, but by no means an inclusive list:-

Cleaning Out My Closet by Eminem (Jackknife Lee Remix)
Pump Up The Volume by M.A.R.R.S.
Children by EMF
Exhume To Consume by Carcass
Moon Over Marin by Dead Kennedys
Solace Of You by Living Colour
Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles
Empty Cans by The Streets
War Eternal by Nightwish
Diane by Therapy?
Turn The Page by The Streets.

That's probably enough for now :o

JMAngel1 · 09/02/2019 15:50

Juicy Mtume literally cannot hear that tune too many times - could play it 20 times in a row much to the annoyance of DDs and DH but if I'm cleaning, then my choice!!

gggrrrargh · 09/02/2019 15:58

Are you the one that I’ve been waiting for - Nick Cave
Diamonds and Rust - Joan Baez
Landslide - Fleetwood Mac

thebabysmellsofpooagain · 09/02/2019 16:33

@DoctorTwo a few years ago, I worked with some absolute comedy geniuses who had a conversation about what should be played when each of us shuffled off. I was on annual leave at the time so they picked mine for me.

Ini Kamoze - Here comes the hotstepper

I still can't hear that song without having a little chuckle to myself! 😂😂🤦‍♀️

Curlyshabtree · 09/02/2019 16:44

Losing My Religion by REM
This is the Day by The The
Straight to Hell by The Clash
Another Day by Roy Harper

So many great choices and so hard to select just one!

insancerre · 09/02/2019 16:44

Venus in furs by velvet underground is my absolutely favourite song

paint it black by the Rolling Stones and

The boxer by Simon and Garfunkel make up my top three

Jinglejanglefish · 09/02/2019 16:51

Cleanin’ out my closet is definitely my favourite Eminem song. And yes to Mr Brightside, I will always listen when that comes on.

My favourites would have to be Lover, you should’ve come over by Jeff Buckley and most stuff by Roger Waters but in particular Sexual Revolution on the Pros and cons of hitchhiking album. His voice is very powerful.

holidayarmadillo2019 · 09/02/2019 16:55

steal my sunshine - Len

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 09/02/2019 16:59

jingle ooh, I’ve been umming and ahhing between various songs, best song ever changes daily for me 😉, but now you mention it, I’m going for
The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking (unsurprisingly from the album of the same name by Roger Waters). Not just the usual stunning lyrics and powerful voice (and the little Yoko Ono joke) but the best guitar solo ever played by Eric Clapton.
