Because I have trouble picking just one! If I have to, I'd say mine is Whisper by Evanescence. Yes it's depressing but I think of it as my happy song. Smile

I find the stereophics cover to be far, far better!

Frainbreeze · 09/02/2019 22:09

@Frainbreeze please feel free to add your songs!

Sure, @CoperCabana , shall do so tomorrow, and post my list here. Should produce some "interesting" remarks!

State of Independence - Donna Summer
Telegraph Road - Dire Straits

CoperCabana · 09/02/2019 22:16

I agree re Handbags and Gladrags and I also had to bite my tongue when adding Robbie Williams’ version of Beyond the Sea. Different strokes and all that. Smile

Frangipane · 09/02/2019 22:34

It's impossible to pick one! But I am quite fixated on Neil Diamond's Pretty Amazing Grace. It was nearly killed dead when I read some people think it is about finding God. I prefer to think it is using religious imagery to talk about finding love.

Slipping through my fingers by Abba is pretty perfect, but sad.
Love of my life by Queen
Somebody to love by Queen

BubblegumFactory · 09/02/2019 22:47

Some of my favourites already listed so I'll try to list some not mentioned yet!
Why can't this be love? Van Halen
Bring it on home - Sam Cooke
Sound and Vision - Bowie
Rock the Casbah - The Clash
Lady Madonna - The Beatles
Glutton of Sympathy - Jellyfish
Blueberry Hill - Fats Domino

And to dance-
the version of "I Feel Love" Diana Ross remix by Patrick Cowley (I don't usually like remixes either)
