Because I have trouble picking just one! If I have to, I'd say mine is Whisper by Evanescence. Yes it's depressing but I think of it as my happy song. Smile

Oh my, what a good question. It does change but currently:

Dark Roman Wine Snow Patrol
very closely followed by
At My Most Beautiful REM

Paddy1234 · 08/02/2019 17:15

Sooo hard
Can't stand you now - the libertines
Faithless - insomnia
The killers - Human

tothesea · 08/02/2019 17:15

Ooooh tough call! Love that so many people have said ‘In My Life’ but I would have to say ‘Wild is the Wind’ David Bowie closely followed by ‘Precious’ Depeche Mode.
These are quite sad songs so for an uplifting one I’ll choose Bingo Bango Basement Jaxx!!

Progress2019 · 08/02/2019 17:15

Be Still for the Presence of the Lord is the hymn that has been my favourite since I first heard it.

Other music favourites are much more changeable depending on my mood but This Years Love by David Grey, Blackbird by The Beatles and The Wave by Tom Chaplin are consistently in my top 5.

TheValeyard · 08/02/2019 17:36

Brilliant Disguise by Bruce Springsteen

One Step Up (also Springsteen)

No Surrender (Springsteen)

Tougher than the Rest (you get the point I'm sure)

AliasGrape · 08/02/2019 17:37

Ignition (Remix) by R Kelly - which is unfortunate given the man himself, but dear god I love that song.

Less problematic - Slide Away by Oasis, reminds me of my youth

emmeline7725 · 08/02/2019 17:37

My top 3 today:

Human nature by Michael Jackson
Sweet Freedom by Michael McDonald
Pure by The Lightning Seeds

Will be totally different tomorrow!

Walnutwhipster · 08/02/2019 17:38

Wish you were here. Pink Floyd.
I love Against all odds but can't listen to it without tears. It was the song played at my teenage brother's funeral.

albertcamus · 08/02/2019 17:39

(seconding) The Last Resort by The Eagles
A case of you by Joni Mitchell
Undertow by Genesis
Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin

howdoyoukeepawaveuponthesand · 08/02/2019 17:41

Alias I have to confess to Ignition (Remix) having a special spot in my heart because it reminds me of my youth and I sicken myself for not boycotting R Kelly Sad

I quote it a lot in day to day life too “it’s the freakin’ weekend” “he was all up in my grill” “hot and fresh out the kitchen”

zippey · 08/02/2019 17:44

I do like the SHAFT theme tune.

“He’s a complicated man and no one understands him but his woman.... Shaft”

NameChangeNugget · 08/02/2019 17:46
